New day... new beginnings?

Ari wakes up and looks at her phone. 5 new texts and a missed call from Matt. He would have gotten up early for his shift before classes. It was '9:06am' and she had classes soon. She texted back Matt before having another cigarette out the window. Who was bothered going up on the roof again? Then she made her bed, showered and got ready. '10:12' read her phone as she plugged in her earphones and started out for the coffee shop where Matt worked.

When she arrived, she put herself in the queue and waited. Matt saw her and started making her drink so it would be ready straight away. When she got to the front of the queue, she unplugged her earphones and greeted Matt. 'Good morning Matty, did you have fun after I left last night?" "Oh if you mean, go home and sleep early for work then yes, it was fun." He said jokingly while giving her a wink. "Ha, there's my favourite employee and one of my favourite customers." interrupted Stephen, Alex's boss. "Yes. Hi Mr. Jones, how are you?" "Good, thanks my dear. How's uni?" "It's going if that's an honest answer. Trying my best as always" she replied. "I understand" he said soberly. Ari had a lot of difficultly fitting in and dealing with life's hardships. It had really affected her uni work but she was determined to get the help she needed and success this year. She left the coffee shop having a lot more motivation then she did when entering.

She spent the day in the library trying to catch up on all her reading and looking through her assignments for the term.
But all day her mind was focused on that one boy from her music history class. She grew more curious as time when on.
