Alyssa Grace Lockhart POV: "We are here Ms. Lockhart." Said my driver. That made me look up from my iPad, I had been looking over the files that my dad's assistant forward to me.
"Thank you, have a nice. I would not be going back with you so there is no need to come for me." I said to the driver and got out of the car.
This is it, time to start my new life with a mix of my old one. My nerves had me shaking and worried. But I didn't let anyone notice how I was feeling, instead I went into my dad's company building. The moment I entered the building everyone turned towards me. I remember some of the employees but the others I don't.
"Ms. Lockhart good to see you, your father told me that you would be starting work today." My father's assistant said to me when she saw me.
"Hello, could you please show me where my office is?" I asked her.
"Yes, yes. Listen your father also told me that you are to look for a secretary since he didn't have the time to look for one before you arrived." She said to me. I'm pretty sure that my father had plenty of time but he just didn't care to look for someone.
"It's okay. I'll need someone to make an announcement that I'm looking for a secretary. Also I was informed that I have a meeting with The F's 4. Do you know when it is?" I said asked my father's assistant.
"You will be meeting with Ezzequiel Garcia at two. But before that you have a meeting with the other heads of the departments so that they can meet you. The meeting will be at twelve." She said.
"In which meeting room?" I asked.
"The one that is besides your office. Now this is your office, I was informed by your father that you are permitted to decorate it." She said.
"Thank you for letting me know. You may leave." I said to her.
She looked at me and gave me a nasty glare. I glared right back at her daring her to say something to me. I knew my father must have told her something about me for her to act this way to me. I remember that she wasn't like that to me before I left to London. She left and I went into my office. The office was plain looking just a desk and three chairs. I must admit it did have a nice view of the city. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a knock on the door.
"Come in." I said. A woman came in, she was dressed in all black and had a harsh look on her face.
"How can I help you?" I asked her, she glared at me and then slammed her hands on my desk.
"I don't know who you think you are but here you are nothing. How dare you come to work dress like this! Not only that, how come you have the position that I have been working my ass off for years now!" All but screamed the woman at me.
"First, don't ever raise your voice at me again. This time I'll let it pass but if there is a next time I won't be so forgiving. Secondly, I don't know who you are and frankly I don't care but the way I dress is none of your business. Thirdly, if you want to know why I got the job you should ask the boss. Now leave and don't ever come into my office like that again. This is my first and last warning towards you." I said in a harsh tone to the woman that I still don't know the name off.
"Who do you think you are?!" All but screamed the woman.
"I'm Alyssa Lockhart and you better leave my office the in the next second or so help me." I warned her. The woman's eyes turned wide when she heard who I was.
"Ms. Lockhart?" She asked, I could tell that she was nervous by who I was.
"Yes, now leave!" I warned.
The woman left in a hurry and she never turned to look back at me. Seriously it is my first day and I already have people coming out to get me and hating me. I'm so done with today and it is only nine thirty. I went to my desk and started organizing all of my things and then I started to work.
***two hours and a half later ***
"Ms. Lockhart it is time for your meeting." Said my father's assistant coming into my office.
Standing up I left my office with my father's assistant behind me. The meeting room was full of people that looked familiar to me. My father was at the head of the table. He looked all serious and cold, like he usually looked at me.
"Glad you could join us Alyssa. Come and seat beside me." Said my father.
"Glad I could make it father." I said to him in a cold tone while making my way to the seat he had pointed out.
Sitting down my father looked at me and gave me a glare. But I just ignored him and waited for the meeting to start. The meeting was really boring, they were talking about a project that I was not part of and then my father told everyone that I will be the head of the design department. Some looked at me like I wasn't capable of the job but I didn't pay them any attention for I did not have to prove myself to anyone.
"That will be all, thank you for coming to the meeting." Said my father and everyone started to leave. I was about to leave when my father stopped me.
"Yes father?" I asked him.
"You are staying here since it is time for your meeting with Ezzequiel Garcia." Said my father and then he left. The meeting room's door opened and then I saw Ezzequiel enter the room with his older brothers.
"Alyssa?" Asked Ezzequiel with a surprise look that then turned into a glare. What is with everyone glaring at me today? Don't they have a different facial expression?!
"Ezzequiel, Damian and Kayel." I said to all three brothers.
