As the day grew darker in their path, they all continued through different kinds of landscapes that the world had to offer to them. They passed the peaceful green valleys, the colorful orchards, and the thick forest. All the way through with some help. The traveling group originally was made of two individuals, Guy Am I and Sam I Am. But a certain new little companion joined their team. One of bright intelligence and of youthful spirit. A small little girl by the name of Maribelle, whom they called her "Mary" for short, who also happened to be wandering alone by herself. They all banded together and were all determined to get to their final destination. Before they knew it, it became dark and the sky was dark sprinkled with small white dots that shone brightly above them. It would be time for them to best lay their head down and rest.

The small little Mary grew tired halfway through the journey once it got a bit past her bed time. The biggest one of the group, Guy, carried her caringly over his shoulder and hugged her tightly while doing so. He could feel her nuzzling into his neck fur that she used as some sort of pillow. She was light enough for her to not be much of a worry for him. Guy never really had much experience with kids since he never had any nor ever was responsible for one. This was a new experience for him but so far it didn't seem to bother him. The smaller one in comparison to Guy, Sam, looked straight up at him. He then began to speak, "I think it's best we hit the hay big fella'." Sam spoke in a soft tone making sure that he didn't wake up little Mary. "Where should lay down then?" Guy asked softly. They both looked around to find a good resting spot. They searched up and down until they came across a huge tree that was tall and had a lot of shade. "We should rest here!" Sam exclaimed in a whisper. Mary began to nuzzle more into Guy's soft fur. Guy looked at the tree for a bit, "Well, we really don't have any other choice."

They walked over to the tree and then each one found a good spot to lay down. Sam took off his hat and then used the hat as some sort of sleeping bag for himself. It wasn't long until he dozed off fast to sleep. Guy still was looking around the tree still holding the girl. He looked over his shoulder to see her and saw a cute little angel sleeping peacefully. He genuinely smiled as something about seeing her being calm and protected made him happy in a way. He gently rubbed her back soothingly to which she responded with a satisfied mumble in her sleep. For a while, he looked up at the night sky, looking at all the wondrous and beautiful lights that filled the deep blue sky. He began to meditate for the first time in a long while. How long he had been wandering here from there with the unexpected partner that would later on eventually become his best friend. Through many trials and many troubles, he was able to face. He was able to get the attention of a single mother whom he at first had special feelings for. However, that all turned around.

Strangely enough, as much more time he spent with his buddy Sam, a new feeling grew inside him. Something about their connection made him start to feel new things for his friend. Guy paused for a moment there, "Does that mean...I'm…" he shook his head before he continued on with that thought. "That possibly can't be it.." he said to himself. Mary then spoke in her sleep "papa…I love you papa.." Guy softly chuckled and layed down on the soft grass. He realized that she was holding tightly onto him so it seemed difficult to dispatch her from him. He was left with no other choice but to have her sleep along with him. He cuddled her the entire time to make sure she stayed nice and warm. He looked at her for a long time before dozing off himself to sleep. "Sleep tight little one." He whispered. The night air had a special chill that only the warmth of two individuals hugging each other would be enough to warm both of them. The distant sound of night criekeets could be heard that made the overall setting calming. The cool grass below Guy was enough to make him relaxed. His eyes began to slowly close shut until before he knew it, he was already fast asleep. Both of them snuggled together and one could say, they looked like the best of daughter and father.
