Abanilia woke the next day and flinched as the sun came through the window blinded her momentarily.
She rubbed her eyes, trying Deseret desperately to get her eyes to adjust to the morning- no noon- sun.

She stretched her arms high above her head, feeling her body tense and release pressure at the same time. She got up and walked to the bathroom while yawning.

She quickly began to brush her teeth, wanting the awful task in her mouth to leave it as soon as possible.

Afterwards, Abanilia quickly went to her duffle bag and pulled out one of the three shirts she grabbed and a pair of grey jeans. She changed into them before slipping her shoes onto her feet. She would have to by socks.

She decided that she needed to look for a job. She brushed through her hair quickly and put on deodorant before grabbing her key and walking out.

As she was locking her door, she heard a deep voice beside her. "I thought someone new moved in." Abanilia jumped at the sudden voice of the man. She whipped around and sighed in relief when she seen the male.

"You scared me." She said, turning around to continue locking her door. Once she was done she turned back around.

The male had slightly long hair, at least for a guy, and had deep blue eyes. He looked to be about 20-21. He had a kind smile on his face as he stuck his hand out.

"My name is Parker, I live in apartment 302. I wanted to introduce myself last night, but when you came up you looked like a bus hit you." Parker said the last part with a grin.

"Well, I felt like it too." Abanilia mutters. "My names Abanilia. Most people think is a mouthful and just call me Abani, or Abby." She says and shakes the strangers hand.

"I like Abanilia. It's very...unique." He said with the grin still on his face. Abanilia smiled at him before shaking her head.

"I apologize, but I must get going. I'm going job hunting." She says and scratches the back of her neck awkwardly.

"Oh!" He says and smiles "well alright. There's a place down the road that's hiring. It's a café. Really nice place compared to everything else in the neighborhood. You should go there first."

Nodding a thanks, Abanilia walked away from the stranger. When she got to the stairwell, she looked over her shoulder. The man was gone.

Abanilia walked down the stairs and into the lobby of the apartment building and through the glass doors.

The streets were buzzing with noises and alive with other people who walked down the sidewalks. Abanilia looked both ways and seen a sign with a coffee mug on it. She decided then that it was most likely the cafè and walked down the crowded street.

When she finally got through the crowd side walk, Abanilia walked through the front door to the café after reading the sign. Kawii Café.

When she entered the room, she was overcome with the amazing sent of sweets and coffee. She smiled at the smell and walked to the counter where the pastries were stored. A lady with a name tag that read Alice,  smiled at her.

"Hello! My names Alice, what could I get for you?" She had a bright, but fake, smile on her face.

"Um..well, I was wondering if you were hiring?"

"Yes we are actually, we have been very short staffed her recently."

"Okay, cool. Can I have an application?"

The girl nods and hands Abanilia a form.

"Just bring it back tomorrow! Your garentteed the job, so we'll talk more tomorrow."

Abanilia smiles "Thank you," She says and turns walking out. She folded the peace of paper up and stuffed it in her pants pocket, deciding to go to the store to get some food.

She wasn't really paying attention, looking at her phone for directions, when she heard a voice.

"Watch out!"
