The One

Day One

It was a beautiful summer day like no other. No clouds in the sky, the kids were splashing the pool water, and everyone was happy. Who am I u might ask well I am Irisa. I was hanging out by the pool with my dear friend Darien. A short Asian looking boy who loves MARVEL. So we just talking when I spotted him. Clay the most perfect most wonderful boy ever. He had golden brown, shaggy hair, electric blue eyes and that smile could light up anyone's day, he had an awesome tan and great abbs. I run up to him "CLAY!!!" And give him the biggest hug ever. He yells right back at me "IRISA!!!" He kinda took a step back form impact. Darien walked up "Yo, what's up bro." "Nothin' much man." They fist bumped. All three of us started walking and talking. I really liked Clay's personality he was funny, surprisingly smart, a little edgy with a hint of I'm a know it all. We say down after ordering a snack form the concession stand. Clay kept talking but I couldn't stop thinking how cute he was with his freckles and little smirk he would give me now and then. "I forgot to tell you something..." I snapped back to reality. "Hum...What sorry I was just thinking." "I just wanted to tell you that you are really pretty..." I blushed so hard then I gave him a soft punch in the arm. Darien said "Oooooo a little summer romance." Clay blushed, GOSH he's so cute, get with it Irisa. "Shut up Darien."
We walked back to the pool and sat on the side of the pool, along the way Darien walked off. Clay asked me, "So..Do you u no... have a boyfriend?" HOLY CRAP it's coming it's only a matter of minutes until he asks. "No, how about you? There has to be a special girl out there to hold your heart." "Unless you count my mom, then no." We both start laughing I look up at the sky and then I feel a hand slip into mine. I look at Clay, "I guess I don't have to worry about holding your hand then." I feel my cheeks get hot.
And then just a the right moment I feel a push on my back it's to late I'm feel my self fall. When I come up I see the one and only Tommy, a 5'4 boy the has black hair and pale-ish. He has his hands on his knees laughing. I scream "TOMMY!!!" I grab him by the foot and drag him in too. and then anther big splash Clay's head pops up. Tommy eventually floats away and Darien comes back. Clay takes my hand again. "Hey you two, do anything while I was gone?" Darien said half grinning half laughing. "I took thy fair maidens hand, while you were away." Clay said, I couldn't help my self from laughing it was funny and sweet. Darien said "Dude, that was a good Thor impression." We all laughed. Tommy floated over again, out of no where. The water was getting really cold and we all huddled. "GROUP HUG!!!" Clay yelled. He grabbed me by the waist and held me tight while Tommy and Darien kinda squished in. Then I felt a hand on my butt, "WHOA THERE BUD!!" "Oh, sorry. I didn't mean it, it was an accident. I promise." Clay said. "Okay." It started to warm up again. "We should go down the slide." Darien said. "Um... I don't know..." "Come on please Irisa!?!?" They all said. "Fine, whatever." We went down the slide a few times, then I got out and laid down to tan. I close my eyes and 10 minutes later a shadow covered the sun I open my eyes to Clay above me. "Hey sunshine wondering where you went." He laid down next to me. "You look really cute today." "Thanks." "Hey got a question for you." I turn over to look at him,"What's up?" He slides his hand into mine, "Will you be my girlfriend?" My heart started racing OMG did he just ask me this, is he for real!! "Sure." It came out less confident than wanted. We laid the hand in hand for a while. And then I felt water rush all over me. I scream and so did Clay. I look at who did it and I see Tommy. I felt my face grow red hot and I screamed, "TOMMY HOW DARE YOU, I WAS HAVING A MOMENT AND YOU JUST HAD TO RUIN IT!!!!" He kept laughing I ran away in anger. "Irisa wait!!!" Clay yelled, I was just so angry at Tommy I wanted to punch him. Once in the restroom I sit down to cool off. After awhile I walk back out to Darien and Clay standing in the door way. "Cooled down yet?" Clay asked jokingly. I laugh, he flips his hair to the side. THATS HOT!! He puts his arm around me and we walk off. "So I take it... you two... are a thing now??" Darien asked. I speak up, "Actually yes we are." I look at Clay, our eyes meet and it seemed like time stopped. I can't believe a guy like him likes a girl like me. And Darien snapped us back to reality. "Hum...what?" I asked "I asked if you guys wanted to jump back in?" Darien replied. "Oh um... actually I'm pooled out can we stay here?" Clay added "I'm gonna leave soon in like ten." So we got up took a few laps around the pool. Steal My Girl, She Looks So Perfect, and Just the Way You Are came on and we both started singing along. Darien laughed at us but we didn't care. We stopped by the chair and I garbed my phone and then Clay took it out of my phone out of my hands. "Um what are you doing." "Um putting my phone number in." "Oh ok." Just as he gave me back my phone a man clapped him on the back. "Oh hey dad!" He said kinda shocked. "Hey bud, you ready to go oh yea, you too Irisa your father asked me to take you home." "Oh yea uh... sure hang a second just let me get my things." I got my towel, bag, and threw on my sunglasses an flip-flops. I gave Darien a quick hug. "Yes Mr. Warren I'm ready." "Please call me Fill." He turned away and Clay took my hand and we walked off. When we got in the car he sat next to me. "So what did you kids do today?" Clay blushed, "Dad were not kids." Fill let out a small chuckle. "Ok whatever you say buddy. How are you Irisa, and you family?" "Oh we're good, my little brother is playing football now." "Oh that's cool, maybe Clay could teach Kevin a few things." "Maybe." Clay replied with a wink. When I got home I turned the tv on to watch Ellen. My dad comes home and asked how my da went I said good and he said "Can you text Clay to see if he can teach Kevin a few things." "Yea sure." I texted Clay 'Hey can I come over with Kevin so you could teach him a few?' He texted back before I could shut my phone off, 'Yea sure anything for you :)' I yell "KEVIN COME ON OR IM LEAVIN' WITHOUT YA." "COMING!!!" Kevin was my little brother he had brown hair, brown eyes, and was built like a football player. We embark on the dangerous journey of down the street. I texted Clay 'b there in 5'. When we got there Clay's mother opened the door and greeted me with a huge hug. "Hello dear." "Hello Mrs. Warren." "Please call me Ann. Come in, come in don't be shy." She went back to the kitchen to finish making a salad, when I felt something behind me. I turned to see Clay looking down on me, he wrapped his arms around my waist and gave me a hug. "Hey Irisa can you help me." Ann called. Clay let his grip go, "Yea sure, be right there." I winked at Clay as he walked off. I walked up to Ann, "What's up?" "Can you get the grilled chicken out of the fridge sweetie thanks." I look around and can't find it, "Um...Ann I don't see any," Oh, yea silly me Fill is cooking it. Could you go get what he has finished?" "Yea sure!" "Your such a help." I open the slide glass door and I walk out a little and stand in the grass to see what the boys are doing. Kevin throws the ball it was beautiful and then I noticed it was coming straight at my face. Clay looked over and came straight for me and grabbed me in a tackle but it didn't hurt when I hit the ground. I laid on the ground and him above me, "You saved me." I pecked him on the check and we got up. Kevin came rushing over, "Irisa I AM SOOO SORRY!!! Are you ok?" "Yea, fine. I have to go help Ann." I rushed over grabbed the chicken and ran inside. I cut up the chicken and added it to the salad. "Can you call the boys in, dear." "Yep." I ran over and called "DINNER!!" They came rushing in, "Well we better get going, come on Kevin." "Ok sweetie thanks for all the help." "Welcome." "Mom I'm going with them." Clay called "Ok be back soon." We walked over to my house Kevin went his room and I changed my shirt to a red plaid shirt and black and white converse with shorts. I asked my dad if I could eat with the Warren's he said yea be back by 8. So Clay and I set off. "I like the shirt on you." "Thanks." 2 minutes later we arrived at his house again. We walked in and sat down at the table. Clay was the oldest of three Sally was his younger sister by 2 years she was 15 and his little brother by 5 years Hank was 12. "Hi Irisa." They both said at the same time. "Hi guys." I was older than Sally by a year. She was a softmore and Clay is a senior and I was in the middle of them. They always got in fights and always asked me which side was right I tried my best to stay out of the way. We all sat down as started to eat and I said, "Fill this chicken is great and Ann the salad is so fresh." "Thanks sweetie." They both said. We didn't talk a lot during dinner. After Clay asked if we could go upstairs to the entertainment room and they said yes. We got up there say on the futon an watched 'The Fault In Our Stars'. He put his arm around me and I laid my head on his shoulder. In the middle of the movie he asked me, "Are you hungry?" "Um...not really we just ate." "Yea like an hour ago. Can I interest you in some popcorn?" "Um. Sure." We made our way back down stairs made some popcorn got a few pops and headed back up. We got comfy and watched the movie again. By the time the movie was over we ate all the pop corn and 2 pops each. I checked my phone 7:55 OH crap. "I better get going it's almost 8." "Ok let me walk you home." We walked to my house and he have me a hug before he left. I fell on my bed what a great day. I took a shower watched Netflix and instagramed and before I knew it, it was 12. I shut everything down and went to sleep. The last thought on my mind was Clay.
