The One

Rainy Day

The next day it was pouring and it didn't show signs of stopping. So Clay and I decided to have a Disney movie day. We watched all the pest movies. We curled up together and just relaxed.

I thought I heard something out side. Oh crap! I forgot to get the trash can and bring it into the garage.

I got up, "Hey where you going?" Clay asked.

"Forgot to get the trash an from outside." I answered. it's probably full of water now. I threw on my shoes and grabbed my jacket.

As I was getting the trash I heard something. I looked up and saw a man close by.

He looked at me and I could barely make out his face but then I saw a scar. The same scar my ex-boyfriend has.

"Shawn? Is that you?" I asked. I took a step back.

"I loved you so much. I would have given you the world. That's all I did was give you my eternal love. And you thank my by breaking up with me?!" He screamed. "Irisa Christie, I loved you. And I thought you loved me back." He pulled something out of his jacket. It was small and black. And he pointed it at me. "This is for not loving me. And the pain you brought upon me."

Two cracks of sound came from the object. And then it hit me. It was to late though. I felt searing pain in my left thigh and gut. I screamed in pain. I fell to the ground. Clay came racing out of the door. He looked at me in horror. He scooped me up and cradled me.

"H-hey... J-jst keep you eyes on me..." He stuttered.

The pain was to much to handle. He began to blur and his voice turned into a mumble. I couldn't take the pain any longer. I fell unconscious.

When I woke up again everything was fuzzy. I was on a hospital bed. How I got there? I don't know. Clay was holding my hand tightly crying saying over and over again, "It's gonna be okay. I promise." Everyone moved out of the way as we they ran, the doctors that pushed the bed. I feel the pain still and it hurts. I go under again.
