The Sidewalk

Not Even A Miracle

-Noah POV-

I saw her, laying there, pale as a paper. She wasn't dead, her body was still breathing. She had wires literally stabbed into her skull. There was one right next her. I opened the door and got in. Her eyes looked at me.

"I'm getting you out of here, i promise"

She just stared. I tried pulling the wires off her body but she would make a sound, like she was in pain. I didn't know what those wires where, but it made them unable to move. I cut the wires with my sword and carried her unconscious body out of the room. Then the other girl was staring at me, crying. Cazelle grabbed her. We ran down to the roof where the portal was. 

CZ: okay they are gonna be more than just a few aliens there

N: yeah i know, keep Devan

CZ: what? No i'm not gonna let you go there alone. 

N: fine

I opened the door and closed it as soon as Cazelle was about to get out. 

CZ: WHAT THE HELL NOAH 

N: Keep Devan safe, If i don't make it, tell her i love her. 

I locked the door and i could hear her screaming and cursing at me. But i had to stop this. I can't bare seeing more people dying. I stood in front of the portal with my sword as they all came to me. This was the only way. 

-Cazelle POV-

This piece of shit really just closed the door at my face. I was determined to look for Miyu. I walked down. The girls where still unconscious. 

I was running and hiding looking for Miyu. She is the only one that can help me at this point. I came here for a damn vacation and ended up trying to save the planet. My grandpa must be furious. But at the end, i know it is gonna be worth it.  

-Clara POV- 

We where surrounded by the creatures, Miyu was taking care of one of the sides. While we hit and kicked these massive things. I grabbed a giant piece of concrete from the floor and started hitting them with it. Malcolm luckily still had bullets and as i could see he was doing fine. I looked behind and an Alien got on me, It had my head in his mouth. I said to myself "This is it, this is the end". No. Bridget had hit it in the back and killed it. She saved me. She had tears on her eyes and she smiled, an alien was behind her. 

C: BRIDGET WATCH OUT

She just smiled, i tried to grab her, but it was to late. The alien had put his mouth on her head, Malcolm ran to shoot it. But the thing just ripped Bridget's whole upper body. Her guts where falling everywhere as the alien chewed and swallowed. I was crying while Malcolm was hysterical as he attacked the other aliens. Miyu was getting tired, they where to many and I had broke my leg, i couldn't move. I saw as the alien swallowed the rest of Bridget and went straight to me. But then everything stopped. Only we could move, but aliens couldn't. In front of me there was, the big alien mouth about to eat my head. We heard a voice, It was Cazelle. 

CZ: well aren't you guys having fun. 

Her skin was light orange, her eyes where light yellow and her hair was loose was red. She had a weird nose shape and she had eyes in her hands. As she held her hands up she told us to get out. We did. We stood behind her as she closed her hands turning it into a fist and then opened it revealing the eye in her palm, 

CZ: boom

All the aliens in the room had exploded. But nothing got on us. I was still crying over the fact that Bridget had died. 

Miyu: thank goodness you arrived. I was getting tired. 

CZ: Glad i found you, i need your help

Miyu: yes? 

Cazelle pointed at the back, she pointed at a black girl, she didnt look older than 13. She was very quiet and her body was filled with holes but with no blood on. Then Devan appeared. 

C: OH MY GOSH DEVAN 

I ran to her and hugged her. 

D: ow

CZ: go easy on her

Devan also had holes all over her. As we looked back, Malcolm was hysterical. He grabbed Miyu and turned her around and started yelling at her. 

M: YOU ARE FROM OUTTER SPACE. DO SOMETHING.

Miyu stared at him with her completely white eyes and said. 

Miyu: I can't do anything about Bridget. 

M: WHY NOT?! 

Miyu: all the parts of her body are gone. I'd need the rest of her to bring her back to life the same way i did to you. 

M: there must be something you can do. Please..

Miyu: I'm sorry. 

She said as she pat his head. We walked while Miyu and Cazelle took care of the aliens. We got to the top. 

-Back to Devan POV-

While i was there, in the bed with the girl, all i could hear was the destruction happening outside. Now i'm here, looking like Spongebob, with a 4 holes in my head that where deeper than my wills to live. Just realizing that these two are damn aliens too. Isn't that good news?

 I was looking for Noah, but i couldn't see him anywhere. We arrived to the top and there he was. But instead, his eyes where glowing. Every single alien was slashed and turned into dust. Cazelle broke down the door and we arrived to the alien covered roof top. The portal was so big, it could swallow all of us. Aliens kept going out and every single one was being decapitated. Noah took a moment and looked at me. He smiled. We had to think of something to close that damn portal. I was thinking of how the rest where doing. How my family was doing in the basement. How was school was doing. How the rest of the world was doing. If we didn't stop this, it would be the end. For all of us.
