30 KILOMETER PER HOUR [Park Jimin X Reader]

9th Day:06

As he looks at the yellow bird feeding her children, he takes his seat on his regular bench.He relaxes a bit under the tree as the warmth of the sun touches his skin to make him feel good in this cold weather.He yawns,tired from the night shift the day before.Rubbing his eyes in a fast pace,he looks at the road. He looks curiously as a familiar person comes in sight.Exactly that dyed lemon coloured hair he sees,she stands on the middle of the road - looking at someone with keen eyes.

Jimin wonders where that expensive car of hers is.She suddenly starts to rush off towards the part of the road where Jimin is.He suddenly sees two elementary school kids in front of the familiar girl.Jimin knows them,he sees them every morning - they go to school from this road.As he wonders if she knows them,he sees a car rushing forward - the driver driving the vehicle faster than Sarang.Before he can figure out anything else,he sees Sarang jumping & pushing the two kid forward as she herself falls on the ground in the middle of the road.

He's eyes widen once he sees the car hitting the girl & rushing away.She rolls on the ground as a sharp scream of pain echoes through the calm,silent road.Jimin starts running towards her,she lays there on the cold concrete floor with her head covered in blood.A lot of people rush towards her but Jimin outruns them.

Sliding on the ground just beside her,he holds her arm & shakes her gently.Her eyes are closed as blood rolls down her cheeks from her forehead.

JM:"Hey! Yah! Ms.Sarang! Open your eyes!"

Jimin yells,but to no avail.She doesn't respond.Jimin feels Jungkook's presence beside him,kneeling down to look at the girl.Everyone's voices sound like a noise coming from another world to Jimin.He feels his heart clenching when the girl doesn't move an inch.He hears the older kid screaming as the younger one cries.He looks behind to find Taemin hugging the kids & taking them away from the horrifying scene.

Jimin feels his eyes watering,he looks at Jungkook helplessly.

JM:"Jungkook ah,call an ambulance."

Jungkook nods,quickly taking out his phone & dialing a number.

JK:"Hello? XXXX XX street.Hit by a car! We need an ambulance right away!"

Jimin softly takes the girl in his arms,holding her tightly.He doesn't even know her properly,then why does it hurt so much?

As the ambulance arrives,the nurses take her inside the vehicle.

???:"Mister,Are you coming?"

Jungkook & Jimin nod before jumping inside the car.As the ambulance rushes towards the nearest hospital with its siren beeping loudly for everyone around to know that a person is being taken to the hospital,Jimin prays silently that she'll be okay.

Jimin sighs as he walks away from the operation room with Jungkook following behind him like a lost puppy.He was told to fill in the patients form in the reception.He calls someone as he walks towards where he was told to go.

JM:"Yeah,Taemin? Did you send the kids off at home?"

{From the other side of the phone}
TM(Taemin):"Yeah.Is the girl okay?"

JM:"No news right now.But I need you to check the CCTV footage & track the car that hit her."

TM:"Yes,as you say."

He cuts the call & Jimin looks at the receptionist before him.

Receptionist:"Sir,what's your relation with her?"

What's his relation with him? Right. What is he to her? More like,what is she to him? He doesn't know. She isn't a friend, not a stranger either.

JM:"I'm a friend."

Receptionist: "OK.please fill this form for her."

JM:"Sure."

Jimin smiles & takes the form.Then he realises he needs to call her parents.He turns to Jungkook.

JM:"Jungkook ah,I need you to contact her parents."

JK:"Roger,boss."

Jungkook nods & walks away.

Jimin walks towards the doctor in a hurry as he comes out of the operation room.

JM:"Doctor! What happened to her?!"

Doctor:"She got an injury in her head,there's some bleeding but we can handle that.Its not that critical but she broke the index & middle finger of her left hand.I guess the car wheel went through them.But don't worry."

The young blond guy in the lab coat smiles at Jimin,patting his shoulder in reassurance.Suddenly a female doctor appears,smiling at Jimin as well.

Doctor 2:"Yes don't worry.We're trying our best.She'll be fine."

Jimin gives her a grateful smile as she nods & looks at the male doctor.

Doctor 2:"Mark,they need you inside."

Doctor:"Yeah,see you around,Ahyun." [Ahem]

The guy nods & walks in as the girl bows to Jimin & walks away.Jimin leaves a sigh of relief as Jungkook appears.

JM:"Done?"

JK:"Yeah,they're on their way."

Jimin smiles as his phone suddenly rings.Holding it beside his ear,he listens to the other side.

???:"Officer Park,we need you & Officer Jeon here urgently."

JM:"We're on the way."

Jimin cuts the call & looks at Jungkook,the younger boy nods.As they step out of the hospital building,Jimin can't help but feel down.
