30 KILOMETER PER HOUR [Park Jimin X Reader]

Another month has passed.Jimin & Sarang meet everyday, she still couldn't control her driving skills into driving under the given speed limit.Maybe it gave her a nice experience, meeting a guy like Jimin.She absolutely loves that guys laugh.They're pretty much like friends now.She meets Jungkook sometimes too & they still bicker like kids.Life was going nice & happy for all of them.

Its almost the end of the day,its summer now.The powerful light of the sun has soften out a bit as the sun seems to be walking towards the west to make its grand exit for the day.Jimin sits there as he has nothing to do inside the police station at this hour.Everyone in the street walk by,some walking quickly, some taking a stroll.Jimin stares at the sky as he thinks about how Sarang laughed at his joke this morning.She looks even cuter when she laughs than in normal.

Jimin looks at the road as his eyes fall on the hot pink Lamborghini,he's never met her on her way to home from school - maybe because he usually isn't here at this hour.His eyebrows crease together as he sees she was driving in literally 42 in a road where speed limit is 30.She was improving,what happened now?- Jimin thinks.

He walks up on the road & on the way of her car.She stops at the last moment, before hitting him.Jimin is even more confused when he sees she doesn't poke her head out of the shedless car to give a playful glare at him.He walks towards the driver seat & when he looks at her,his heart jumps. She looks ahead of her with a blank & lost look in her eyes.Her eyes are swollen & red,her nose looks like a tomato.More importantly,her eyes are wet.

She's been crying,no doubt.

JM:"Sa....rang?"

Jimin says lowly,utterly confused as to why this happy- cheerful girl might be crying.Jimin has come to know her a bit better & she's completely childish & innocent.He thought she was always happy & shining like the sun - like someone he knew well.Right now this state of hers make his heart hurt.

She breaks off from her daze & looks at Jimin but again looks away quickly.Trying to wipe off her tears,in doesn't come in handy when more tears come out at the sight of him.

JM:"Sarang,what happened? Are you okay? Are you sick?"

He asks concernedly,she shakes her head no.

JM:"Then.....what's wrong?"

She shakes her head again,trying to wipe her tears that come out nonstop.

JM:"Hey,you could tell me you know,I would listen."

She speaks for the first time now.Her voice is husky & deep due to the crying she has been doing.

SR:"Get....in the car."

Jimin nods.

JM:"But I'm driving,I'm not gonna let you drive at this state."

She nods,shifting on the passenger seat in an instant & handing her keys to Jimin.

SR:"Thank you."

Jimin gets in the car & starts it,driving away.

JM:"Where do you wanna go?"

SR:"T-town park."

Jimin nods & drives towards the town park.

Jimin & Sarang sit on a bench under a big oak tree in the town park.The park is emptying out as little kids start going home as its getting evening.Sarang sits there beside him,just looking down on the floor & not uttering a word.Jimin doesn't say anything,he just sits there in silence beside her while looking at the sky.The sun has already made its grand exit,the sky is painted with pastel orange,pink & yellow shades.The birds are flying to their home after a long day of their hard work.Jimin hums softly as he listens to the birds singing up in the tree in the calming silence of the evening.

SR:"You know......I always thought she was my soul sister,a real best friend."

Jimin snaps out of his trance once Sarang starts to speak,her voice is low & calm - unlike the usual one.Jimin is confused but nods lightly,taking in this new side of the girl.

SR:"Kim Sana,I was friends with her from middle school.We were practically twins, always together. We used to go shopping together, borrowing each others clothes,doing make up for each other - everything.I considered her my best friend while I pushed everyone else away who wanted to be my friend,thinking that they were fake."

Jimin doesn't say a word as he attentively listens to Sarang.She takes a deep breath & wipes off her tears again.

SR:"That girl,she became friends with other people while I was away,lying on the hospital bed for a month.When I got back,she acted different.I thought it was just all in my head but she suddenly started to avoid me.Today,when we got into a fight,she just said that she didn't want to be my friend anymore.She said I was childish & weird. So she just......dropped that friendship behind & left me.When she found richer & more popular people than me,she suddenly didn't need me anymore."

At this point,Sarang breaks into a loud sob.She tries to hold it in & fails, Jimin contemplates on what he should do.He hesitates for a moment but then slowly slides closer to her.Putting his palm on her back,he runs it back & forth in a soothing manner which works a little because she calms downs a bit.

JM:"Hey,there are always people out there,trying to use you. We're not something with supernatural powers so we can't look through them.I would say every person has had a experience like this in their life,at least once. She wasn't worth of your time,your love.She betrayed you so you shouldn't cry over her.She's somewhere right now having fun,I'm sorry but that's the truth.You should forget about her just how she easily forgot about you & show her that you don't care."

Jimin tries his best with his words,hoping it will help her even if its a tiny bit.To his surprise,his words work like magic.She nods & quickly wipes off all her tears,taking off the sad expression from her face.

SR:"I think you're right,Mr.Park.She didn't deserve me."

She rubs her face & quickly puts on an ambitious face.

SR:"Now! I won't cry anymore,I will make new friends & forget about her just like she did!"

Jimin chuckles at her ambition,ruffling her hair softly.

JM:"Sure! & yeah,Mr.Park is too formal,just call me Jimin or Jimin oppa."

SR:"Is....Jimin OK?"

JM:"Sure."

Jimin hums & she smiles.

JM:"Now~~ Let's get you home! It's getting pretty late!"

SR:"Yeah!"

They stand up & walk to her car.
