Chapter 6 : The Ruby Witch

Third Person POV-

Stefan didn't expect the witch's hair to match her name but then again he's never heard of the Ruby witches before.

"Hello Gentlemen." She greets them as she steps through the doorway into the mansion, Elijah closing the door behind her.

"Welcome Miss Ruby pleasure to see you again after all these centuries." Elijah states guiding her to the living room where the others are.

"Ahh darling nice to see you still out and about, thought you'd be six feet under by now." Kol says as he speeds up to her, and lifts her hand to his lips in greeting.

She pulls her hand away used to Kol and his ways. "Kol nice to see Klaus let you out of timeout. I see a unfamiliar face, who are you?" She asks as she turns towards Stefan.

"Stefan Salvatore." He says shortly uncomfortable being the only one that doesn't know this witch or her powers.

She walks up to him holds out her hand, and he takes it kisses it lightly in greeting like how he was taught growing up. "Lola Ruby, pleasure to meet you just call me Ruby but don't add miss like Elijah I just can't get him to stop."

Stefan let's a smile slip in understanding she reminds him of Caroline a little bit, who he has taken under his wing as a sister.

"Not to be rude or anything but what type of witch are you, I've never heard of the Ruby witches?" Stefan asks.

"Oh that's quite alright Ruby witches are rare and immortal witches connected straight to the ancestors to help with problems, prophecies, and some miracles that they grant. It's our job to guard, guide, and sometimes even grant some miracles." She explains to Stefan.

After a few moments of silence Stefan not knowing what to say totally stunned and the originals not knowing where they should begin with this whole predicament. "Why don't we take a seat so you guys can explain the problem to me?" Ruby suggests as she takes a seat facing them.

It takes about an hour to fully explain the situation from all of their points of view and answer all her questions in full detail. Ruby sits thinking for a few moments before grabbing one of the many grimoires she brought with her, sets it on the coffee table and starts to chant.

"Ducant me ad maiorum solution." Rudy states in a steady voice her eyes becoming the shade of the most beautiful rubies. The book flips open and the pages start turning by themselves to almost the back of the book and finally settles on one page written completely in Latin. Her eyes stop glowing and return to normal, they wait before asking questions as to not interrupt her. The rare occurrence of Klaus and Kol having patience and at the same time. She reads over the page twice before turning her attention to the men who are all waiting on the edge of their seats with nerves about the situation.

"Okay it looks like to get the answers you seek, all you men have been requested to attend a meeting with the ancestors. A meeting is really rare that's why the spell to do so is at the end of the grimoire. So how would you gentlemen like to proceed?" Ruby informs them.

Silence falls over the mansion as they process what they have to do to get answers to their questions and a solution to return the girls to normal.

Klaus is the first to speak "Love how would we attend such a meeting, where would the spell take us?"

"The spell would take us to the meeting and it takes place on a private nature plain where we could talk freely." Ruby answers.

"What do you need to preform the spell, darling?" Kol asks, his witch side showing.

"I need 10 candles, lighter, salt, a rose, a bowl, and a drop of blood from each of us." Ruby lists the ingredients off the page.

"Kol can you go fetch the ingredients from your bedroom, you should have everything listed." Elijah says.

Kol flashes out of the living room and upstairs, a little silence passes before Stefan gets up the courage to ask a question that makes him worry.

"How long are we going to be gone for? The girls are in a vulnerable state right now to be left alone, is it possible for one of us to stay behind?" Stefan asks concern dripping from his voice.

The question makes Klaus and Elijah also grow concerned about leaving the girls for an unknown amount of time.

"Not to worry Stefan time won't pass while you are in the meeting and the girls will be perfectly safe here." She reassures them.

Kol comes back with the supplies and Ruby immediately starts setting up a huge circle in salt and places the candles equal lengths apart. She lights each petal on fire and uses it to light each candle then puts it into the bowl. In the middle she collects a blood drop from all of them into the bowl and mixes them with the burnt petals. She tells them to grab her hands as well as each other's and form a circle before she starts chanting.

"Nos animae naturalem ubi veteris libet. Atque adversus impedimenta Talk propono nobis. Take nobis, ut nos auferat auferetur abstulerunt nos!!" Ruby chants as her eyes turn Ruby red glowing bright as the wind blows out the candles and then everything goes black as they all collapse onto the floor, transporting to another world.
