I ignored the pain in my back as my wings tried to pry themselves out and prayed to my father before drifting off to sleep.
Korean / English
I woke up with a start after talking with my father in a dream; he had scolded me for not letting my wings out since my mother died, leaving me in a horrendous amount of pain. I sat up from my sleeping position and looked around confused before remembering yesterday's events. I sighed as I thought about my situation: I was in a District that holds an eerie reputation with strangers who are most likely all supernatural. They didn't seem to think about what language I speak, if any, and it was unlikely they knew what I was. To be honest, if I could get along with these guys then I'd have a shelter as well as some new friends (although saying new friends makes it seem like I had some in the first place). My thoughts were cut off by the banshee who'd found me yesterday, as he knocked on the door and poked his head in. He smiled at me and beckoned me towards him to which I smiled back and followed him out the room. He lead me to a room I didn't recognise which turned out to be a dinning room where the other six guys were sat waiting. The leader pointed to some food, I wasn't quite sure what it was, almost in a questioning manner and I nodded in politeness; they'd let me in without knowing who I was, how could I decline their offer of food? The banshee that led me here guided me to a seat before I scanned the room and took in who was what. On one side was me and the banshee, opposite side being the hybrid leader guy and his demon friend. To my left seemed to be two hybrids; a rabbit and squirrel. Across from them was a vampire and a- wait.. is that a dragon? Oh wow, I thought they went extinct ages ago. Then I look back to the leader and realise I probably shouldn't be shocked. Anyways, I now had an idea of who (or I guess rather what) I was up against. I hadn't realised there were so many creatures still about though I was basically a prisoner back home, with no way of knowing what's out there. As I ate the food I'd been given - delicious by the way - I couldn't help but question if I should even consider revealing myself to them (once they earned my trust of course) and, if I did, how would they react? Angels, though rare on earth, weren't unheard of but an archangel? Would they even believe me? Also, despite angels not having any problems with demons, those hell spawn seemed to absolutely despise us heavenly folk. I look across at the two males opposite me as I finish my meal with one thing in mind - I better not let out my aura before we've all gained each other's trust because, if not, they will attack.
