preference- what he does that pisses you off.

Dallas: steals. everyone, especially you, was aware of the behavior of Tulsa's bad boy. you could put up with almost everything he did except steal. he mostly stole stuff for you and even though you appreciated him thinking about you, you could never accept it.

"c'mon doll, take it! you know how hard it was to get that?"

"i don't care Dal. that ain't the right way to do it."

Johnny: forgets his blade. every time Johnny came to visit you at home he'd take everything out of his pockets and set them aside. to his dismay he'd usually forget his blade once he left which worried you terribly. you knew how dangerous it was to walk the streets alone and without a blade it wasn't any better.

"you better not forget your blade again, johnny cade."

"don't worry 'bout it babygirl, I got it."

Sodapop: thinks he's dumb. ever since he dropped out of school it always crushed him to remember why he did it. you always reminded him that he was a lovely person with an amazing heart and that's what truly counted in a human being.

"i don't know, remembering all that makes me feel real stupid."

"well you're not, okay? you carry a heart of gold and that's worth the world."

Darry: works overtime. you understood how hard it was for Darry to be the head of the household but sometimes his body couldn't handle even an extra hour of work; which Sodapop and Pony agreed to. after too many hours he always ended up with back problems and a grumpy attitude.

"I swear Darry one day you're gonna bust your back and we'll all tell you we warned ya."

"yeah well, that day ain't today so don't get your hopes up."

Ponyboy: smokes more than a pack a day. he never kept track of how much he would smoke but you always noticed when he was going over board. you didn't think it was good for his health and it certainty wasn't helping him do good on the track team.

"dang it Ponyboy, why don't you quit smoking just until track season is over?"

"c'mon babe, that ain't the problem; i've just been slacking off this year."

Steve: picks on Ponyboy. you knew about Steve's and Ponyboy's love and hate relationship but it bugged you when Steve went too far with him. Ponyboy was your friend way before you and Steve were a thing so you always stood up for him when you thought it was necessary.

"c'mon Steve, Ponyboy had a rough day today."

"aw shoot baby, he knows I'm only kidding."

Two-Bit: skips school. it was no surprise that Two-Bit didn't like to go to school but you weren't too fond of him missing too many days. his attendance was affecting his grades and it worried you that he wouldn't be able to walk with your class.

"Two-Bit would it kill ya to go to school for a complete week?"

"it just might babygirl. those seats hurt my ass."
