A few days had passed and the eldest McBroom daughter missed the boy she had gotten so close with.

She knew tomorrow was her aunt and uncles baby shower and maybe she could invite Zach to go with her so she wouldn't be alone.

It'd also be a great way for her family to meet Zach to see how they like him in case they ever did become something.

Camryn skipped downstairs and looked around for Catherine. She saw her in the kitchen cooking something. Cam sat down at the kitchen island, playing with her fingers, "Hey, mom."

"Hey, love! What's up?"

"I wanted to ask you something."

Catherine turned around and looked at her.

"How would you feel if I invited Zach to Landon and Shylas baby shower?"

"That's fine with me, just text one of them and make sure there okay with it." Catherine said. "I'd text Shyla if I were you, Landon would say no right off the bat."

"Why is he so protective of me? He's not even my dad?" Cam asked.

"You were the first McBroom baby, you've been here a lot longer than Elle. When you were born, he was the first to hold you after me and your father. He promised he would always protect you and be there for you. He loves you as if you were his own, Cam."

Camryn nodded, thinking about the words her mother just told her.

After a couple minutes she decided to text shyla and ask if Zach could come, then texted Zach to see if he would want to come.
