Authors note- {possible spoilers} (y/n) is the one whos parents were blessed by Amenadeil, not Chloe's.
"(Y/n), are you almost here? Trixie is getting too exited waiting for you!" Chloe said over the phone. "Yes, I'm only about a block away, tell her that she doesn't need to worry about me. Look, I know you're anxious, but once I get there we will celebrate my wonderful arrival," I said, giddy to see my lovely cousins. "I know, I know, I don't need to worry, but we just solved a murder but the murderer is still lose, I don't want you to get hurt." "Hey, what does that guy look like again?" I ask, hatching an evil plan. "Um, about six foot, brown hair, beard and mustache, buff. Why?" she says, confusion spiking her voice. "Oh my God, he's my taxi driver!" I say, about to burst out in laughter. "WHAT?!" she practically screams over the phone, "GET OUT OF THERE RI-" That was my breaking point, making me laugh so loud the taxi driver flashed me a bitch glare. "...I hate you, (Y/n)." "Love you too, cuz!" I say as the driver pulls on the curb of her house. I get out and the driver opens the trunk so I can get my stuff. I just finished grabbing all of it when Trixie runs up and hugs me, screaming, "AUNTIE (Y/N)!!!"
"Hi kiddo, what have you been up to? Have you been good?" I ask. "Yes! Mommy and I were just making dinner! Come on!"
Once we get everything inside, I suggest that we watch TV. I , being the remote hog I am, turn on Friends. After about an hour, Trixie is passed out. "The hell, Chloe, your child falls asleep at six 'o freaking clock."
"So, you used to fall asleep at seven when you lived with us."
"That's different. Anyway, wanna go celebrate with alcohol?"
"No, I'm sorry, Trixie has a school play tomorrow and I can't miss it."
"Alright, Imma go out then. C'ya," I say grabbing my coat and keys to Chloe's car.
After a while, I see a nightclub called LUX. Alright, I'm down, I think. I pull into the parking lot that already holds about a hundred vehicles and park. I walk up to the bouncer and hand him my ID. "Head on in, ma'am," he says. I nod in response and go inside. I ignore the half naked women dancing on tables and head to the bar. At the bar, there was a darkish skinned woman. "Beer, please," I say. She nods and hands me a Miller. I slap down a ten dollar bill and search for an empty table. A man walks up to me, a gray, disgusting stubble underneath his smirk. "Hey there babe, wanna head out back with me?" he says, clearly drunk. "No thanks, you can go find yourself somebody else," I respond, edge in my voice. I try to move and walk on, but he blocks my way and hits my ass. "Well, what do we have here?" a British voice adds. I turn around to find a tall, handsome man behind me. "Well it seems that you, sir, need to be punished," he says with a slight smile. I move out from in between them and head towards an empty table that caught my eye. Better safe than sorry, I thought, just before I heard the drunk man yell "He's the Devil". "Typical drunks," I say, to no one in particular.
A few minutes passed before I was approached by the British man from earlier. "Is this seat taken?" He asks, very politely. "No, I'm alone tonight. Thanks for saving me, by the way," I respond.
"Well I can't stand to let a man take advantage of someone else, I'm not as bad as everyone thinks."
"What do other people think about you, if you're not that bad?" I ask, curious.
"Well, they think I'm the cause of all their problems, 'Devil did this', 'Lucifer did that', I'm quite exhausted of it, frankly."
I take a moment to think about what he was saying. Is he saying that he's the Devil incarnate? I thought, No, not possible. Is he stoned then? I searched his features for any signs of being high, but eerily found none.
