Johns POV
Flashback
5 years ago:
"John? Promise me you won't forget about me when you become famous", Kylie said, looking down at her feet.

"I won't, I promise.", I kissed her pink cheeks.

She held me tight when we went into a hug, I never wanted to let go.

I started heading towards the limo that awaited me.

"John!", I turned around.

"I'm gonna miss you.", she said

I smiled, "I'll miss you more."

Flashback over

I watched as Kylie walked in front of me, amazed at the lite up city, and the amazing things along the side walk. Once in a while she would stop and talk to one of the sales men.

After sometime, she finally came back with me. We locked arms and continued walking.

"Do you remember when we first met?" She asked.

"Of course I do.", I chuckled.

Flashback
"Class, this is John Pearce, he exchanged from Melbourne Elementary. Please, make him welcome.", Mrs.Canon said.

I worked my way to the back of the room. There was an empty seat a crossed from a very pretty girl.

I heard snickers and laughter. I felt like crying. But I sucked it up and walked down the isle.

After I sat down, the girl in front of me turned around, "Ew your hair is so greasy. Take a shower.", that's all it took. She turned back around and there were more laugher and snickers.

I got up and ran out of class. Mrs.Canon called out my name, but I ignored her. I didn't know the halls that well, but I made it to the first bathroom I came too.

I opened a stall and sat on the toilet. I cried into my hands, until I heard foot steps coming toward the bathroom.

"John? Are you in here?", I didn't know who that was.

"Go away.", I said, trying to sound like I wasn't crying.

"I'm coming in.", she said.

"No. Mrs.Canon sent you didn't she?", I asked.

"No. I ran out of the classroom after you.", the footsteps were louder.

"Open the door.", she asked.

I did. I continued sitting on the toilet, though. I looked up and noticed who it was, she sat a crossed from me, pretty girl. I think her name was Kylie, according from her name card.

"Hey, it's okay. I know it's hard, I was the new kid last year.", she said.

She stood in front of the stall.

"My names Kylie.", she stuck out her hand.

"My names John.", I shook it.

"I have a feeling we will be best friends forever.", she said smiling.

"Yeah?", I said, wiping my eyes.

"Yeah.", she said, "come on, let's clean you up.", she took my hand and took me to the sink. She wetted a paper towel and wiped my face.

At that moment, I knew we would be friends forever, like she said.
