''The Horae, as they are called, to each of them, as their name indicates, was given the ordering and adornment of life, so as to serve to the greatest advantage of mankind; for there is nothing which is better to build a life of felicity than obedience to law, justice and peace.''
Athens' Agora, 375 BC
A girl walked through Athen's Agora, alone and with a very exact place in mind, Kephisodotos was going to reveal to the world his statue dedicatedto Eirene the horae and it was an event she didn't want to miss.
The statue was already revealed when she arrived so she definately arrived late (much to her demise), but she was impressed with it nontheless. The bronze statue was that of a young woman with long curly hair, holding baby Ploutos in one hand and a long sceptre in the other. The hypnotic effect the statue had had on her made the girl walk through the crowd to the front of it, her eyes unable to leave the statue's, as if something in them were drawing her in more and more each time. The eyes were blank but she swore she could see them shining in a teal color at some point, which broke the hypnotic effect.
''What was that about?''
The event finished a few moments after and everyone separated to either stay at the plaza or go back to their placer or workplaces. Our girl just made her way back to her house so she could begin helping her mother with her chores again, just like everyday during her life after she turned eleven. However, at sunset, right before dinner, she created an excuse to go out again. The glowing eyes of the statue had bugged her all day long and she wanted to find out why did that happen.
She went to the agora again with the vase she had used as an excuse on one hand. You could still see perfectly fine but since light was running out, everyone was going back home for dinner. The agora was almost empty, maybe there were a few merchants left packing up to leave until the next day but that was it. The statue was literally at the same place, nothing had changed, not even the sensation she had had ealier. She got closer and closer, it was drawing her in again until she saw the same thing as before, but that second time felt different. She instintively closed her eyes to feel the wind and heard the flapping of a pair of wings not so far away, hands to her heart she felt at peace with herself for a moment. A voice drowned her mind.
''We share name, but we also share a deep link and a mission, it's time for you to know the truth... my dear Eirene''
When she opened her eyes, she was standing in the middle of a round temple from which you could see a starry nightsky and no horizon, her vase still in hand. The woman of the statue was in front of her, dark-ish blonde locks and bright turquoise green eyes.
-Ever since that day something changed in me. A few years later I had an accident in which I should've died, but I ended up turning up to have outlived not only my family, but my entire city, an entire empire, entire people through all ages of history. Olympus opened for me and, for centuries, I've been carrying the mission of finding the Gods's descendants to guide them on their mission to try and end once and for all the titans' respawning from the underworld. Now it's your time girls, and I really hope this quest is successful for all of us.-
