An hour passed and it was finally my turn to meet with Mr. Killian. Sure, my legs we're tired out from standing for so long but I'm used to it.

I'm a nervous wreck. Danielle encouraged me and said that I got this and to do the stuff that she said before. Short and sweet but not too short, a laid back personality but stern at the same time.

Alright Andrew.

You got this.

Mr. Killian held the door open for me and I walked in. I stood there awkwardly not knowing what to do. He closes the door.

There was a desk in the middle with a chair behind it and a chair in front of it for, what I'm assuming, the guest. Then there's window behind the desk, there's a plant in the bottom right corner. I, over all, think this office is bland. It doesn't even seem like he would have an office like this. He doesn't really seem like a bland person.

"Take a seat," Mr. Killian says. I nod in response. He walks past me and sits down in his seat, shuffling through papers.

"Do you have your resume?" He looks up at me.

"Yes," I hand it to him and he looks over it for a minute but it felt like forever to me.

"Why should I hire you?" He asks, looking over my resume. I was going to answer him but he went on.

"What'd you study in college," I wait for a moment to see if he's done talking, he was.

"I studied in business, body language, and public behavior," I say.

"How's that going to help you get this job?" He rests his head on his hand.

Shit.

He's bored.

"I majored in all of them. I can tell when someone seems upset, or if they're lying by the way they move or act. I'm a very observant person can tell if they're trying to be sly. If someone offers you something and you don't think much of it, I will. I will voice my opinion, even if you don't ask, when you're making a deal with someone," Mr. Killian looks amused.

"Let's talk about business," I cross my legs and fold my arm over my chest. "I know how the market works, I know how to sell stuff, trick people into deals. I guarantee you that most of the people here think that being your 'Assistant' requires them to get your coffee, a pencil, your papers, and not doing work. I don't think so, I know how this stuff works, I'm not stupid. If I'm wrong, Mr. Killian, apologies," I put on a black face.

Shit. I spoke too much. I acted a little bossy. He looked at me for a moment before looking down at my resume.

"So you went to college for 6 years. I assume it would've taken longer than that to get a degree in all of that stuff,"

"I went to college for 8 years. I skipped two grades," not to mention I wanted to get out of high school as soon as possible. People are jerks.

"So what if you don't get this job. What're you going to do then?" He's being smug. Trying not to roll my eyes or snap at him I say,

"You missed your opportunity of having one hell of an Assistant,"

~~~~
"Oh my God I can't believe I said that to him! You're dumb as shit Andrew!" I say so more to myself as I walk outside of the building.
"What'd you say?"
"That's he'd miss an opportunity of having one hell of an Assistant if he doesn't hire me," I groan.
"That's a sly move, but, yeah, I don't think you're going to get the job,"
"I know!" I whine and walk backwards facing Danielle.
