Shard's P.O.V.

"If I hadn't told you, you two wouldn't be fighting." Frisk said crying.

"Human, please don't cry." Papyrus said. He got to his knees and put his hands on her shoulder. "The great Papyrus will set things right."

"You don't need to." I told him. "The truth is painful at moments, but it's better than constantly being told lies." I layed my hand over my eyes and groan, then chuckled. "Oh, Primus, I'm starting to sound like Amber."

They chuckled. "Where did she go?" Frisk asked.

I jabbed my thumb towards the door. "She went to find Sans, hopefully to talk to him."

Amber's P.O.V.

The sound of crunching snow under my feet and pede filled the night. It was difficult to track down Sans because either there was too many tracks overlapping one another, or his tracks were covered by the snow. He could have teleported as far as I was aware. There was a place in Snowdin where he could be. If not, then I'll have to fly around and I'm keeping that to a minimum.

My crimson red optic was scanning the area, pulling up every information possible. It was annoying at times, but I have grown use to it. I spotted the bar called Grillby's ahead. That has to be where the skeleton is. I hope.

I walked to the front door and layed my servo on the door knob. I took a deep breath, then opened the door. I mentally sighed in relief as I saw a familiar blue jacket at the counter. His head was layed on the counter with a ketchup bottle in his hand. I didn't see Grillby anywhere, but I could faintly feel his aura. I shut the door and walked towards Sans. "Hello, Sans." I greeted.

He didn't answer. "May I sit next to you?" I asked.

He only groaned, which I took that as a yes. I pulled a stool out and took a seat. We didn't say anything for moments. Finally, Sans asked with sadness, "What do you want?"

"Nothing." I said. "Just thought that you needed someone to talk to."

"Well, I don't, so piss off." He snapped.

"I'm not going to leave someone in distress. Don't have it in my spark to. Also, I'm not about to repeat past mistakes."

"I'm fine!" He yelled at me.

"No, you're not." I simply replied. "For starters, you have tear marks on your face. Second, I don't need to know your past to see that you're also stressed."

He only groan and looked back down. He was quiet for a moment. "Frisk shouldn't have told him." He said. Sans then chuckled. "I've saved her life from Undyne and this is how she repays me?"

"She was scared. If you were her, you would have done the same thing, would you not?" I asked.

"You have a point." Sans said as he took a drink.

"Every sentient being deserves an opportunity for redemption." I quoted as a memory came up.

"What?" Sans asked confused.

"It is something that Optimus taught me." I said.

"Your... father?"

"Not my real father, but I see him as a father figure. It means that everyone deserves a second chance."

"I don't know." He said, looking down. "I don't know if I can give the kid another chance. Not after what they did."

"Remember the story that I told you about the Cybertronian War? About how Megatron killed his own home planet for power?"

"Yeah?"

"He not only killed millions of Cybertronians, but his own home as well. When the War ended, we all went back to Cybertron for rebuilding. Unfortunately, Unicron possessed his body and came to physically destroy Primus. We managed to stop him and Megatron came back. When Optimus gave him a second chance, he actually took it. He's ironically the commander of the army now." I said.

He was silent for a moment. "I can try to give them a second chance."

"And that may be the best choice that someone can make." I smiled.

He suddenly changed the subject. "What happened to you?"

I was confused. "What do you mean?"

"I mean your metal parts of yourself. What happened" Sans replied.

I winced as the memory played back in my head. I subconsciously covered my optic with my hand. "That... is a memory I rather not talk about, Sans." I replied.

"A battle?"

"Something like that." I said. I didn't want to lie to him. He is my friend, perhaps the only friend - besides Papyrus and Frisk - in the Underground.

Moments has passed and Sans had almost finished his drink. His head was lowered. He was... a little moody, so if he's actually getting drunk, then I can walk him home. Right now, I was talking to Shard through the Dragon Bond. "How are Frisk and Papyrus?"

"Worried." Shard replied. "How's Sans?"

"He's... I think drunk."

"I thought that they couldn't get drunk."

"So did I. They must have carried some human traits before becoming trapped here."

"Too bad we can't get drunk." Shard laughed.

I chuckled. "If we were to get drunk, Ratchet would have our heads."

I felt amusement coming from him. "Did Sans ask you about your past?"

"Yeah..."

"You do know that they're going to find out."

I sighed. "I'm aware. I only hope that day does not come anytime soon."
