The stumbling up the stairs. The slurred words that came out of his mouth. The constant physical and verbal abuse that he threw at me. The spitefullness and the evilness. Each memory is stored up here. In my brain the only place where no one has access to.

He didn't start of abusive. He generally really loved me. I could tell when he looked at me and touched me. When he held me in his arms and didn't want to let me go. When he kissed me goodnight or when our hands interwinned together but not long after he changed.

2013-The last day of sanity

"Af....africa" My mum's voice drew me out of my slumber. Its not everyday that she has to wake me up to dress my little sister. Due to her I have missed 691 minutes of my life which i will never get back dressing her up for a number of social occasions and now an extra 25 minutes to add to that total.

"Mmhhh.... What time is it?" I mumbled. Apparently it was offically summer about a week ago but the sun was still quite low and the sky resembled a marble swirl. A light shade of purple flowing into a deep orange and then into goldish yellow.

" Your boy...friend is hear"

" Are you being serious?" I asked

" Ughhh, mum... you can't let him in not now"

Josh was down stairs and i looked dispicable to say the least. My hair was a right mess, i was only wearing one sock and i think i have a pungent odour. Well thats just great. Thanks mother nature.

"Look... he probably doesn't care. All you guys do is kiss and stare at each other in the eyes anyway"

I guess my Mum had a point. He probably didn't care plus it would be payback for the day when he took me to his room and it stank of mouldy beans. I pulled of my odd sock and tied my hair into a ponytail . I looked a bit better now.

I heard his footsteps as he came up the stairs which was then followed by a gentle and soft knock on the door. I murmered but then lay still pretending to be asleep. As he opened the door, the sweet aroma of gingerbread swept into my room, bringing memories from the past when I was younger. The sweet smell didn't last long. My nose became polluted with the scent of one of the cheap knock off men aftershave.

"I know your awake" he said. "Your eyes are twitching"

I murmered back an inaudible response.

"Why are you so early?" I asked.

This guy was one of the laziest guys I knew. He complained all day everyday at school because he didn't get enough rest that night. So how he made it here for 9:00 without me asking him I don't know.

"I was just missing you" he replied

Now I know he wants me to print something.

"What do you want me to print?" I sighed

" It's not that ..Could you tell my dad I stayed here last night?"

"Why?"

"Cauussseee"

"Cause what?"

He'd never done that before. The only thing he'd every asked me to do was print his homework.

"Where were you?"

I felt my stomach turn. I was actually getting kind of scared. He's never asked me such a thing. I now it sounds like I was overreacting but it didn't sound right.

"Are you going to answer my question?" I asked
