I sit at the booth reading the paper next to Dean while I finish the milkshake that was in my hand. "Can I get you anything else?" A feminine voice said making both of us look up. I bite my lip as De chewed the pen he was holding. This was interrupted when Sam came over and sat down. "Just the check, please." He said making...Wendy?I think her name tag read walk away.
I let go of my lip looking Sam with a pout. "Your no fun,Sammy." I sighed as I took the pen out of Dean's hand and underline stuff in the article. "Yeah,Sam,we are allowed to have fun once in a while." Dean said as he pointed at Wendy walking away in very short shorts. "That's fun. Even Ellie agrees." He said patting my shoulder causing me to chuckle.
"I swear you two are twins at times." Sam commented making me and my older brother look at eachother before saying in unison. "Nah!" This made Sam laugh a bit as Dean handed him the paper I was looking at. "Anyway.Here, take a look at this, I think we got one. Lake Manitoc, Wisconsin. Last week Sophie Carlton, eighteen, walks into the lake, doesn't walk out. Authorities dragged the water; nothing. Sophie Carlton is the third Lake Manitoc drowning this year. None of the other bodies were found either. They had a funeral two days ago." He stated from what we found out
Sammy gave a confused look."A funeral?" He asked not understanding since no body was found. "Yep, just a empty coffin for closure or some bull." I said as De nodded. "Closure? What closure? People don't just disappear, El. Other people just stop looking for them." He said frustrated at something that obviously didn't involve the case. "Something you want to say to us?" De asked. The tension in the air got a little heavy. "The trail for Dad. It's getting colder every day." Sam said. I already know where this was going they've been arguing when they thought I was asleep in the back seat. We've been following the same trail dad left for us, but I know it was all just a red haring to get us further away from him. I'm not sure if he didn't want us in the way or he doesn't want us to get hurt in the processes. Snapping out of my thoughts when my name was mentioned. "Ellie and I have been with him every single day for the past four years, while you've been off to college going to pep rallies. We will find Dad, but until then, we're gonna kill everything bad between here and there. Okay?" Dean defended ending what ever they were talking about. Sam rolled his eyes as Wendy came back with the check I take it and give her a smile which she returned leaving us again. "All right, Lake Manitoc. Hey!" Both me and De look up. "Huh?"Dean hummed. "How far?" Getting up from the table I go to the counter and pay for the three of us leaving a tip for Wendy as I join my brothers out in the car. "Let's get going." I said strapping in the back seat.
After driving from a couple of hours we pass a sign that read. 'Welcome to Lake Manitoc WI.' We get to the Carlton house all three of us getting out of the Impala and walking to the door. I was the one to knock on the door and a boy around my age answered the door. "Will Carlton?" I asked. He looked at me up and down before looking at the two baboons behind me probably sending a death glare of some kind. "Yeah, that's right." Will said leaning on the door frame. "I'm Agent Ford. This is Agent Hamill and Fisher." Dean said which almost made me laugh, but I held it together for the moment so he could finish. "We're with the US Wildlife Service." We hold up ID's. "We need to speak with Bill Carlton." Will nodded and lead us towards the docks. "He want want to talk much, so anything you need to ask might as well be me." We agreed as he spoke to us outside
