The summer had just started to end, though the weather was still muggy and warm in the small town of Saint Maries not even a gentle breeze of relief of the August season. Even in the heat, the Larson family was moving into their new two-story home. Boxes and furniture was moved into the home with the help of the movers.
Micheal was the eldest out of the three children, and was spending his senior year at the small school. And it was a going to be a nightmare. He insisted on staying their hometown, he wanted to be with his friends but still being a high schooler he had to move with his family.
"Micheal! This is your box." His mother called out up the stairs, leaving the box at the foot of it. Micheal perked up when he heard his mother call out for him. Ugh. Having the attic as a room had its perks but the stairs were a pain he thought. But he had privacy from his annoying siblings.
"Alright I'll grab it now." He called back out before he jogged down the steps to the main floor, seeing the box waiting for him, he picked it back up. Clothes. He remembered going through them and getting rid of the ones that were too small or he didn't wear it was a lot smaller than he thought.
Luckily, most of his furniture was already up there and in place. He only had to make his bed, set his tv up and put his clothes away into the dresser he had. He sighed as he placed the box next to the dresser on the floor.
Shuffling and murmurs of voices traveled up stairs till he heard his father come in and call for him. "Hey Champ! I'm back and I got pizza for you kids to eat, Cmon down now." Micheal sighed as he ran his fingers through his raven black locks that curled at the tips before dragging his hand across his freckled face. He couldn't stand his father calling him that, he felt more like a failure than anything. "Alright, I'll be right there!"
