I wake up to the smell of the salty sea ocean air coming through my open bedroom window. I stretched and got out of bed, I instantly regretted it when my feet made contact with the cold wooden floor. I gave a small shiver, but I could understand because today was the first day of autumn. I smiled and I walked out of the room and down the stairs. My family was sitting at the table eating breakfast. I grabbed an apple and ran back up the stairs to my room. I changed into shorts and a tank top. I grabbed my apple and ran out the front door.
The sand under my feet went in between my toes. I stifled a giggle and saw Finnick sitting in the sand. With a smile I bolted forward and tackled him. He laughed, "Annie I thought you were asleep. If I would have known you where awake I would have went and picked you up." He said with a smile on his face. I laughed, and held out the apple I grabbed earlier, "I brought you an apple." I said chuckling, and held out the apple. I sat up as Finnick took the apple. "What's it like?" I asked. "Annie I told you, I don't like talking about the games. I-" "Swimming." I said, cutting him off. "Well it's like you're flying. I can't believe you live in district four and still don't know how to swim." He said. I laughed softly, "Well some people can't be all high and mighty like you Finn." I said walking into the water. He walked over and like a child I splashed water on him. I laughed and he laughed. We spent the next few hours splashing and laughing. Right as I was going to splash him again he grabbed my wrist and pulled me into an embrace. "I love you Annie." He whispered in my ear. "I love you to Finn." I whispered back.
I walked through the front door to my house again but this time, I'm soaking wet. "Annie why do always come home soaking wet on Fridays?" My father asked me sternly. "I was with Finnick by the ocean." I said. "You know your mother and I don't approve of the Odair's! Why do wish to see him if he only will bring you trouble?" He asked making a face. "I'm sorry." I said. "I forbid you see that boy. You can never see him again!" My dad scolded. My jaw dropped, as tears were welling up in my eyes. "Daddy..." I tried to say, but it only came out as a strangled cry. I ran to my room and slammed the door. "How could I live without him?" I thought as I buried my face into my pillow.
