A new beginning

Garnet, Pearl and Amethyst finally got back home to see Spinel and Steven on the foot of Steven's bed snoring, Pearl grabbed a blanket and put it on top of them while Garnet turned off the T.v and Amethyst put some pillows between them.

"I'm glad that Steven isn't that sad anymore..Spinel has really changed hasn't she Garnet?"

Garnet stared at the two sleeping soundly on the ground thinking about what Pearl said towards her and she smiled.

"At least he has someone to talk to whenever we're not around to be there for him."

They all nodded, not wanting to wake them up they went towards their own room letting them sleep.

#THE NEXT MORNING#

Steven slowly woke up and felt weight on his shoulder only to see Spinel sleeping soundly on his shoulder, he smiled and gently removed her head and placed a stuff toy under her head and then he stood up to make breakfast, he yawned and went to the bathroom to wash his face and brush his teeth before making breakfast while he was washing his face he noticed something on his wrist, it was the bracelet Connie gave him on his birthday. Steven sighed and removed the bracelet and placed it on the sink and left it there as he proceeded to make his way towards the kitchen he saw Spinel on the couch smiling towards him he smiled back and walked up towards her.

"Good morning Steven"

"Good morning Spinel, thanks for cheering me up yesterday I really needed that"

Spinel smiled and simply nodded towards Steven. Steven started walking towards the fridge to get some milk and get the cereal from the cabinet Spinel followed his movements with her eyes.

"What are you doing Steven?"

Steven hummed as he put some cereal in a bowl and pour milk on it.

"I'm just preparing some breakfast cause I'm hungry do you want some?"

"Gems doesn't need food Steven..."

Steven chuckled as he prepared some food for Spinel

"You won't know you like it until you try it Spinel"

Spinel didn't argue and Steven handed her the food, Spinel looked skeptical at first but when he saw Steven take a bite at it she knew that it was safe, she took the spoon full of cereal and slowly made it up to her open mouth, she closed her eyes and waited for the spoon to come inside her mouth and as she took a bite she couldn't taste anything due to her not having any taste buds but it wasn't that bad and she took a few more before she realized it she finished the whole thing before Steven.

"Woah you're done already? Man that was quick even quicker than Amethyst"

Steven proclaimed and as Spinel was about to say something the Gems walking in causing Spinel to shut up she avoided eye contact and awkwardly grabbedd her arm when they noticed the two, they walked up towards them with smiles on their faces.

"Good morning Steven how did you sleep last night?"

Amethyst messed his hair and laughed Steven laughed with her and told her that he slept really well last night.

"I'm glad that you are not as sad before Steven, I was really worried about you"

Pearl said with joy in her voice Steven smiled towards her and Pearl gently hugged him tightly. Steven hugged back and thanked her Garnet ruffled his hair much like what Amethyst did and Steven chuckled and then Garnet turned towards Spinel making her flinch and avoided her gaze.
