Dinah decided to call some friends after flipping through tv channels that were not fulfilling her interests.
"Hey Emma. What's up?" Dinah said letting her head lay on the couch's arm rest and her legs stretch across the rest of the couch.
"Dinah! Hi girl. I totally thought you were dead!! You haven't picked up your phone in ages, like what the hell is up with that. Jesus! I'm hanging with Tomas Marian. You know the hot guy from Pier 8," Emma stopped to giggle at something Tom said then went back to speaking at top speed, "and Tomas said that Gabriel totally likes you. You know Gabe from Chem. Anyway Tom says we should all go on a double date at the game. Gabe has tickets!"
Dinah was distractedly staring into space to realize that Emma was inviting her to hang out. Now.
"Yeah I'd love too Em."
Dinah knew that Emma only needed a quick starter to launch into another lighting speed conversation.
"Dinah that's great! I'll totally tell Gabe and Tom. Pick you up in ten minutes. Bye!!" With that Emma hung up leaving Dinah bored and lonely again.
Dinah's stomach growled so she got off the couch and went into the kitchen. She opened the fridge and pulled out a foil wrapped peanut butter and jelly sandwich. She took one bite and a bark erupted from behind her.
"Ah!" Dinah yelled dropping the sandwich. She whipped around and saw her mom's yorkie, Thor jumping up and down, barking loudly.
"Thor shut up." Dinah whined picking up her smushed sandwich and threw it away. She opened a cabinet and pulled out the bag of dog food and filled up Thor's yellow bowl. She placed it on the floor and jogged up the stairs other room.Dinah pushed open her closet and started throwing out clothes. She wanted to dress nicely, but not look lie, she was trying; even though she was trying. She decided on a pale pink button up shirt, baby blue jeans and red converse. She brushed her brown hair and put it in a low ponytail. She was dressed just in time for a loud car horn to come from outside her front door.
Dinah's feet flew down the stairs, she grabbed her keys, her pocketbook, her phone and her wallet. Never leave the house without her stuff.
Idling in front of her house was a blue minivan and Emma stood against the passenger door in white jeans and a football jersey on (Obviously Tom's). She ran up to Dinah and they did two air kisses."You look cute." Emma said with a smile.
"Whatever. Let's go." Dinah insisted.
Emma squealed taking Dinah's hand and pushed her in the car. Tom stepped on the gas and they headed to the game.
