Love. What is love? Why would love be so heartbreaking? My friends may find the perfect person to love, but I don’t think I will. My personality is so confusing. Everyone thinks I’m the most amazing person in the world, and I am never left alone. The boys come after me whether I want them to or not, and I feel like I’m just a prize to be won. I’m not even in middle school yet. Lacey and Carrie; my sisters were perfect. I felt like I didn’t belong. Like something was wrong with me. Love is an emotion I guess, but what does it feel like to love someone?

“Serenity,” I heard a voice say. Lacey my lovely older sister was calling me from the doorway. It was dark in the room where we were getting the popcorn ready to to start the movie. My family was watching “Hunger Games” for the first time. I love the “Hunger Games” trilogy, but the "Harry Potter" series is always overcoming my liking for any other movie. Magic. I believe that someday I will be as powerful as Harry himself, even if it is just with words.

Draco Malfoy was such a big jerk; I can’t even remember a single book or movie that didn’t show him as a jerk. Of course, I saw a resemblance between Harry and myself. It was weird. It seemed as if Harry and I were siblings. I could see it, but I couldn't understand why we would ever look like each other. Harry was a fictional character from the television, and I was just Serenity Hart. It was the only reason why I would continuously watch the movies. 

As the movie started, I excused myself from the living room, and began thinking about how Harry and I could be so similar. The only difference between our appearances is my red wavy hair that reached down to my knees and I don't need to wear those circular glasses that Harry needed to. I walked into my room to check the computer for the “Harry Potter” movies, but when I clicked enter, the screen said, “No results for Harry Potter movies.” That was really weird, just yesterday I had watched the entire series online. We don’t get the DVD’s when they come out because we can get them free online. I walked to the bookshelf on the other side of my room and looked all along the shelves for my “Harry Potter” books. The only books that I saw were; the Selection series, the Hunger Games series, Divergent series and the Percy Jackson series, but my Harry Potter books were missing as well. What’s going on?!

"Serenity, they are starting to enter the area!" Carrie called out, bringing me back to earth. I was wondering where my books and the movies on the Internet could have gone, but I was so excited. This was my favorite part of the movie, and I love Rue, she was my favorite character in the first movie. If I had to choose a favorite character for the rest of the series, I don’t know maybe Katniss, Peeta, Gale, or Primrose.

I ran back into the living room, and sat in between my sisters. Katniss was running through the field to enter the forest. Once she finally reached the forest she kept running, and suddenly bumped into a girl who was named Foxface. She got up fast and ran in the opposite direction that Foxface ran... (A/N: I would have continued the rest of the movie, but then the book would change from being a Harry Potter book to a Hunger games book.) 

I walked back to my room once the movie finished; my makeup had been running ever since Marvel had killed Rue. I walked into my bathroom, and washed off all the mess of a running makeup. "Serenity!" my mom called. When I finished wiping off my makeup, I ran down to the living room where my parents were waiting for me to get there.

As I came to a halt in front of my parents, my eyes drifted to the letter in my mom’s hand. Carrie and Lacey were sitting the room next door, probably ease dropping on what was happening here. My mom handed me the letter she was holding and slowly I started opening it. I saw a red seal with a snake, lion, raven, and badger engraved on it. Who was this person? I read the letter to find out more about my mysterious writer. The letter said:

Dear Serenity Aurora Potter,

         As headmaster of Hogwarts Witchcraft and Wizardry, I hereby am announcing that you are welcome to participate in your first year at Hogwarts. The supply list is stapled to the back of this letter. I will need your reply by August 28, for school with start on the second Monday of September.

ALBUS DUMBLEDORE

I stared at the letter with wide eyes. Hogwarts? Albus Dumbledore? Potter? Was I going crazy? I couldn’t be a witch; I didn’t even have any magic. My shock didn’t allow me to think properly, and my parents knowing so sent me off to bed. Was this the reason all the ‘Harry Potter’ books and movies were missing? Was I supposed to rewrite these books? Why did he write my name as Serenity Aurora Potter? My last name is Hart, for crying out loud. 

School was tomorrow, but I didn’t feel like going to school. I was still too shocked about what was going on around me. The letter was on my nightstand, and I could help but stare at it. It was getting late, and I wasn’t ready for bed yet. Mom and dad would be coming up to check on me soon, and I wasn’t even in my nightgown. I grabbed the distracting letter, and threw it in my desk drawer, where I was sure to never see it again.

I walked into my bathroom to slip on my nightgown without anyone interrupting me. My nightgown was lime green, and completely contrasted with my bright red knee length hair. My mom came in, and wished me a good night. I laid on my bed, and drifted into a long deep sleep. I was wondering how I could have such a peaceful sleep after everything that happened to me today. How would Carrie and Lacey act? Where will I go to school? Will I get transferred to Hogwarts?

Dear readers,

       I know that I’ve been busy, and not post very often, but I was just thinking. I have so many books written down, but so few to share with you guys. Maybe I’ll start sharing them with all of you. This also means more waiting for the next chapter though, but I hope it won’t be to long of a wait. 

         Anyway what do you think about this chapter? The next chapter will be more interesting than this chapter. This was just an introduction to the entire book, but I promise, that the action will start very soon. Serenity is heading off to school ‘tomorrow’ just to meet up with the school’s bully. What do you think will happen, and how do you think the others will react?
