Opal looked at her cloak and sighed, a week had passed since the whole situation. She accepted Kanan's offer and told him she would try to help Ezra, she even was starting to feel like Hera was a sister, Kanan a dad, Zeb a older brother, Sabine a older sister and Chopper like a cranky uncle. She put on her cloak and walked on top of the ship, but the lesson had already started. She snuck around until Chopper yelled at her, catching everyone attention.
"Your late again Opal." Kanan said, Opal stood up and sighed.
"Sorry." She said.
"I don't want you late again. If you want me to teach you, your gonna have to take this serious." Kanan said, she started to get irritated but just walked over next to Ezra.
"Yes master." She said, Ezra elbowed her as Kanan took Opal's lightsaber.
"You can have this back later." He said, Opal curled her fists but sighed as she sat down. "Ezra will go first and then Opal." Kanan said, Opal just glared at the ground.
"He's just being hard on you so you'll learn." Zeb said.
"I know, but that's all I have of my mother that I have no memory of." She said.
"You mean she died when you were young?" Zeb asked as he picked up some milk.
"No, the last thing I remember is being infront of my house that was on fire."
"That's tough." He said and then paused "Wanna help me tease Ezra?" Zeb asked
"I'm pretty sure my version of teasing is different from yours." Opal said, Zeb yawned and sat up.
"I really thought this Jedi stuff would be more interesting." Zeb said and stretched and jumped from his spot. "No wonder the old religion died." Zeb said and walked infront of Ezra who was doing a hand stand on the cannon.
"Come on kid. Do something, amuse me. Use the force." Zeb then grabbed the cannon and moved it, causing Ezra to fall off and land on his butt. Opal got up and saw Ezra had landed in the milks. Ezra saw her and blushed in embarrassment. Kanan helped Ezra up but he pulled his arm and place a hand by his face.
"Does he have to be here?" Ezra asked as Kanan walked to the edge of the ship. Opal walked over to Ezra and made sure he was okay.
"He's annoying, but there will always be distractions. You need to learn how to focus through them" Kanan said and then paused. "Here, lets try something else." He said and tossed Opal her saber and out his together and handed it to Ezra.
"When do I get my own like Opal?" Ezra asked him.
"Having a laser sword doesn't make you a Jedi. Opal only stole someone elses." Kanan said.
"That's not true, I was given it." Opal said.
"In person?" Kanan asked, Opal just looked at the ground. "Uh huh."
"Well it gets me closer." Ezra said and turned on the saber, which pointed at Kanan's neck.
"Careful!" Kanan said, Ezra pointed the saber in the air. After Kanan showed Ezra where to adjust the height, Opal and Ezra stood near the edge od the ship with there sabers infront of them. "Okay, close your eyes." Kanan said, they did as they were told and Opal focused on the noises. "Let them have it Chopper." Kanan said, Opal remembered where Chopper was and faced towards that way.
"Ow!" Ezra yelled, Opal hit the carton easily. Ezra was having trouble and Kanan was having trouble. She heard Zeb make fun of him and she got annoyed.
"Opal? Can you grab the fruits?" She heard a women's voice say. She stopped and turned towards the voice with her eyes still closed.
"What?" She said, she then felt something hit her head and opened her eyes to see the home and saw an older man.
"This is your fault!" He yelled.
"N-no, it couldn't be. I-i was just a kid!" She yelled while walking backwards. She heard voices yelling at her and she saw she was in the real world while falling. She kept on hearing voices yelling at her, even when she covered her ears. "It was just a kid!" She yelled over and over again until she started floating. She was still crying and hearing the voices
"Opal!" She heard Ezra say, she turned and saw Ezra being held by Zeb from the ghost. "Grab my hand!" He yelled, she reached his hand but the yelling got louder.
"N-not my fault." She whispered, she pulled back her hands to her ears.
"Zeb! Throw me!" Ezra said, Zeb tossed Ezra to Opal. Zeb had tied a rope around Ezra so he pulled the rope once Ezra grabbed Opal. "It's going to be okay." He told her as she whispered to herself. Zeb pulled them aboard and they landed in the ship. "Wake up Opal!" Ezra yelled as he shook her shoulders.
"Not my fault, I was just a kid." She whispered, Zeb got an idea and held the saber infront Opal's face.
"Wake up kid! Your Mom is next to you." Zeb said, Ezra glared at him until Ezra felt some one moving his hands from Opal's shoulders. Ezra saw it was Opal, she stood up and put her hood on.
"Sorry guys." She said while hugging her arms. She climbed up the ladder and saw Kanan walking towards her with a angry look.
"What was that?!" Kanan asked, she looked at the ground.
"I'm sorry, I just remember something painful." She said and walked off to her room.
"What does she mean?" Kanan asked Zeb and Ezra.
"Back on Lathol, she didn't remember what happened to her parents. I guess she remembered a bit because Zeb said her mom was next to her." Ezra said.
"She was also saying it wasn't her fault, whatever that means." Zeb said, Kanan started to feel guilty that he yelled at her.
"Lets leave her alone for the day." Kanan said as they walked to the main room.
