You Said You'd Stay

I took your hand,

Thought I'd be alright,

You gave me hope,

Gave me more life,

You promised to stay,

That'll get better,

We'd be okay,

That I matter,

But you let me fall,

You let me shatter,

Like all of them,

See the blood and my essence scatter,

I can't find myself,

Not again,

No more,

I'm closed in,

You stood by my side,

For so long,

But you never had my back,

Though I thought I had yours,

Though I'm always hurt by you,

I don't leave,

How can I?

I can't see,

See why,

Everything is down,

You let me go,

You let me drown,

In my depression,

Never to be whole,

You never did save me,

Hoping you would,

Knowing you could,

But I have yet to see that,

Was this your plan,

The whole scam?

To hurt me in the end,

To never defend,

When I needed it?

I've asked for help,

You just needed to hear,

To be there,

Now you only leer,

In my face,
