I was standing on a flying ship, waiting to get off. The ladder had been let down as everyone began to climb down. I moved closer to the edge of the ship, waiting for my turn. Below the ship, I could hear yelling.

I did not know what was below us of what I was going to find below, but I was ready for whatever it was. I knew that as long as we were all together that everything was going to be okay.

Hold on, I am getting ahead of myself, let me explain.

My name is Angelica, Angelica Ray, and this is my story.

~Backstory~

I grew up living my life alone as I was left at an orphanage. When I turned five, I ran away because the other kids always made fun of me. They made fun of me because of my looks and things that happened around me that I could not explain. After running away, I lived on the streets learning how to take care of myself.

I learned how to steal and pickpocket. I used the money I pickpocket to buy food or water, and if I did not have any, I only took what I needed.

After turning fourteen, I meet and boy and girl who claimed that I needed to go with them so they could keep me safe. The boy had black hair and sea-green eyes, whereas the girl had blonde hair and grey eyes. I tried to run from them too, but after they found me again and again, I decided to wait and hear them out. They explained that I was a demigod and that the things that happened to me were because of that. I tried leaving again, but they continued to follow me until I agreed to go with them.

They led me to a camp called Camp Half-Blood.

The girl, Annabeth, left saying she would tell Chiron about my arrival while Percy, the boy, gave me a tour of the camp. He showed me the different buildings and where I would be staying.

He led me to a building full of weapons and told me to pick whatever I wanted.

I was shocked at first but began walking around, looking around until I was standing in front of a box of daggers. I picked up one of the knives as the metal was a deep purple, and the hilt was wrapped in black leather. I placed the dagger back as I turn to find a bow beside it that also screamed at me. The bow had a swirling design engraved into the wood, and a quiver full of arrows beside it. I picked them both up and showed them to Percy, and he told me to take both. I thanked him a few times, not sure what else to say.

Next, he led me to the Hephaestus cabin, where he told me I could ask them to make my bow into something that would be easier to carry around. I asked them if they would make it into a ring for me so that I could always have it. They agreed and even offered to put a few weapons into it to see if it would work. I told them that it was fine. I thanked them and started to move to the exit, but they continued asking me more questions. I answered their questions, and then Percy and I headed off, they told me that they would be done in maybe three days and that one of them would find me and give it to me when they were completely done with it.

I thanked them before Percy was dragging me off to the next location.

He showed me a few more placing in the camp before leading me to the cabin that I would stay in.

It had been about a week since I had first arrived. We got ready to play a game of capture the flag. It was the first time that I would be playing, and I was excited and nervous at the same time.

I had gotten all prepared and was hiding in the trees above the flag. After a few minutes, the horn was blown, and screaming and shooting began. I did not have to wait much longer before the first person came through finding the flag, but they were quickly taken out by an arrow to the legs.
