This is the outfit I end up picking and Zoe and Lexi push me down the stairs as soon as we hear a knock at the door.

The hide behind the kitchen counter barely peeking over. I giggle and open the door and Josh immediately engulfs me in a hug. "Hi." I beam. "Heyyyy you ready?" "As I'll ever be." I smile and close the door and hear screams as soon as we step off the porch.

"Is that Zoe and Lexi?"  Josh laughs. "Yep, just ignore them they trashed my room trying to find the 'perfect outfit'." I say and put my seatbelt on. He laughs and pull out of the drive way.

We arrive at the fair and we pay for wrist bands so we can do everything. By We I mean josh. The whole way here we argued over who was gonna pay. He ended up taking my wallet and putting it in his pocket along with his.

"What should we do first?" I ask him. "Hmm, you pick." "How about the swing one where it raises off the ground and spins?" I suggest.

"Alright let's go!" He grabs my hand and pulls me to it. We wait in line and I see a familiar face. I rest my head on Josh's shoulder and squeeze his hand.

"Are you ok?" He asks concerned. "Yeah I think I saw Anthony." I say shocked. "Anthony? What's wrong with him?"

"I guess I haven't brought it up cause I hate the topic but Anthony and I used to date. For about three years to be exact." I say as flashbacks fly threw my mind.

"Really? When how come you didn't tell me? And he didn't even tell me." Josh flips. "Don't worry I'll tell you later." I rub his other shoulder with my free hand.

"Please tell me when thought." He begs.

"In eighth grade he asked me out and he was like the popular guy so of course I said yes. Then after that we ended up dating through tenth grade. But that's when he started to get moody and stressed with grades. I guess he just took it out on me." I shrug.

"How so?" He asks confused.

"He threw things. Not at me but at the walls and floor in anger. I'll never unsee him in that state." I shiver.

"Well, we'll save this conversation for later. Don't worry about him I'm here right now." Josh sent me a reassuring smile.

We hug and soon we're at the front of the line and get on.

It's already 9 and the sun has set but all the  colorful lights are still lighting up enough for us to see clearly.

"Alright where next? I've picked the last three places." I tel Josh. "The fairs wheel! I've never been on one." He point to the really tall structure. "To the fairs wheel we go."
