"Jeez I don't remember walking this far Kay." Sam said all out of breath. "I think the place we used to go is only five more minutes," I huff "but we all could use the exercise." I say now leading our "pack" along with Josh.
"So, do you wanna share a blanket?" Josh quietly asks me. "Sure." I answer with a small smile plastered on my face. We arrived just minutes later and set up. Surprisingly there were a lot of other people there are snuggled up waiting for the northern lights.
I spread a blanket down and laid on it. Josh came and pulled another blanket over us. I was still cold so I scooted closer to Josh and he put his arm around my shoulder. "Josh?" I whisper. "Yeah?" "Have you e-" I was cut off by Sam. "Kayla I'll be right back, me and Tayler brought tents so we're going to grab them from the car are you ok?" He bent down and asked.
"Yeah I'm ok, are we allowed to camp here?" I ask. "Kayla, were in a huge grass area surrounded bye trees. Don't ya think other people will do the same since a it's already almost 11?" "Well whatever, I'll probably just see you in the morning. Night Sammy." I say. "Ok, night Kay, night Josh."
"Uhhh hey I'll be right back." Josh says getting up. "Ok." I simply reply and he walks off. "Hey uhh Kayla?" I hear somebody behind me. I turn to meet the one and only chase keith and his brown puffy hair. "Do you wanna head down by the lake? The northern lights and starting soon." He speaks pointing to the rocky shore a long walk informs of us.
"Yeah it's cold though." I shiver. "Here," he picks us a blanket and hands it to me. "We can sit down on the benches near there." He smiles sweetly and we head towards the benches near the shore.
We sit down and wrap the big blanket around ourselves. We look out across the lake. (I for got to mention this is taken place in Michigan, in the upper peninsula 🤭🙃)
