Christmas thing

Silence.

The world is quiet, the moon shedding off its glow.

Peace.

That's all there was this night, out in the world.

Everyone's asleep, the snow silently falls from the dark sky. It shines like diamonds in the moonlight.

In the distance you can hear the faint sound of bells, sleigh bells.

Without anyone knowing, he comes. Quiet, sneaky, fast.

He left what every kid asks for.
Some of the gifts selfish, some not.

Either way, he doesn't really care. He just wants them to smile.

The moon slips away and the sun starts to rise. Dawn light peeks through kids windows, waking them.

They quickly wake their parents up and run down the stairs.

You hear the sound of laughter and see the smiles.

Once again, another Christmas has passed, leaving joy in its wake.
