It's been a whole 3 months since Anne and Gilbert parted ways. Anne was sitting on her chair looking into the mirror. She was imagining what her mom looked like. Was she so much alike ? Or just a little? Diana and other girls were sitting on the bed giggling and talking about some boy. This got Anne thinking of Gilbert, and something heavy stepped on her heart. She missed him. Every day, more and more. He missed her too... maybe even further... he didn't know anyone in Toronto, he felt alone without the girl who seemed to understand him as no one ever did. A girl who loved him more than anyone... and he loved her more than anyone too. Anne was so busy with her imagination, she didn't even notice Gilbert walking into the room. The other girls were so suprised, they didn't know what to say. Gilbert sticked his finger to his mouth as a sign to be quiet. He wanted it to be a surprise. He slowly kissed Anne on her cheek and she suddenly turned to him so surprised. A huge smile formed on her face and first, she didn't know what to say. Tears started to form in the corner of her eye.
- Gilbert! - She screamed and ran into his arms. He hugged her so tightly, like he was afraid he's going to lose her again. - I missed you so much - Anne whispered. She couldn't even talk properly, she was so happy. She finally felt peace.
- I missed you too - Whispered back Gilbert and pulled her into a kiss. They didn't care they were in the room full of other girls. The whole world disapeared for them in that moment. Them being reunited was the only thing that counted. They pulled away from each other and staired for a minute.
