Fire meets fate (Paul Lahote/OC)

Chapter 2

( This will be a flashback chapter and it will be about how Arianna met Paul after he phased and imprinted on her)

Arianna wasn't exctly sure why she had joined Bella on her trip to talk to Jacob. Maybe it was that she was bored, but also she had missed Jacob and Billy and wanted to give Billy some muffins she had baked earlier. There were dozen of muffins in the basket she had been holding while sitting next to Bella on her truck. The ride over to Jacob's home in La Push had been rather quiet, Arianna figured Bella had been thinking of Jacob, not that she blamed her. Arianna herself was wondering and mainly hoping she and Bella wouldn't run into the 'gang' like Jacob had called Sam Uley and the group of people such as Jackass Lahote being. It was still weird how Jacob had suddenly joined them alongside with one of Arianna's closest friends, Embry Call. She wasn't so surprised of seeing Paul and Jared joining, mainly because..well mainly Paul was a huge jackass who had bullied her and hated her since when they were kids. Arianna had first wondered why he had hated her as she had been a happy and caring as a kid. Though as years passed by and being tormented by Paul even more, she had began to hate him as well. Jared Cameron had joined Paul and the two tormented her together. It had gotten to the point where Arianna no longer liked to go to La Push, but of course the boys had came to Forks. They had done many things to her, even egging her few times. It had been why Arianna, feeling fed up of the fact she had to live in constant fear had moved over to live with Bella and their mother Renee. She had lived with them over three years before moving back to Forks around four months before Bella moved in after their mother wanted to travel with her new husband Phil. Even the mere thought of Paul made her want to punch something. She often said that calling Paul satan was an insult to satan, she had even said it to his face, right after he and Jared had egged her and before Arianna had moved to Jacksonville to live with Bella and Renee.

As the girls finally were in La Push, Bella had parked the truck in the yard and rushed outside, followed by Arianna who frowned as Bella ignored Billy and rushed inside Jacob's room "Sorry about her, she's lost her manners" Arianna whispered to Billy who let out a small chuckle, shaking his head. Arianna handed him the basket, smiling "Here's some muffins i made earlier" She said as Billy smiled widely "Thank you. I have missed your baking" He confessed and touched her wrist while sniffing the muffins "They smell delicious" He confessed before sighing. He was about to say something when Arianna felt her cellphone vibrating and sighed "I should take this. Scold my sister when she gets back, she needs it" Arianna whispered, bit amused before leaning down to kiss Billy's cheek. She walked out and answered to the call, sighing as she regornized the voice to be Mike Newton who was asking her on a study date. She liked Mike, but only as friends, buth truthfully it bugged her how he was treating Jessica who was her good friend. She quickly told him no befoee hanging up. It was when she heard a wolf like whistle and glanced up, seeing shirtless Sam Uley, Jared Cameron, Embry Call and Paul Lahote there. She shifted a bit, but as she heard Paul's voice..saying out loud about how the paleface was back, she found herself rolling her eyes "Didn't i once told you that calling you satan was an insult to satan?" she called out and smirked slightly as the group of men was coming closer.

"She said that?" Sam asked and Arianna could feel a hint of amusement in his tone of voice, followed by a growl coming from Paul's lips "Why are you back? No one wanted you back" Paul snapped which made Arianna to chuckle "I've been back for a long time now. I'm shocked you haven't come over to Forks and to..i don't know..egg me?" She called out, tilting her head aside "Believe me. I wanted to. Though i wanted to do a lot more worse than to egg you" Paul snarled and Sam gripped his arm tightly, but Paul shook his head and pulled his arm back, marching over to Arianna, followed by the others "Leave cause no one wants you here. You're not welcome in La Push, hell i don't think even the people from Forks wanted you back" Paul stated and smirked wickedly. It was when Arianna finally glanced up, tilting her head aside as her brown eyes met Paul's brown eyes. When their eyes met, Arianna felt..it was hard to explain what she was feeling. She could see Paul's mouth opening slightly as his eyes stared at her. It was starting to feel..uncomfortable and as Paul snapped out of it, she had blinked her eyes "Gotta go" She said quickly and bolted away from them. She wasn't sure why she was running, maybe it was the fact Paul's words how no one wanted her here or in Forks affected her cause she had always felt unwanted one way or another. Or maybe it was the fact Paul had stared at her and the look on his eyes had had all kinds of emotions, and that freaked her out. It had felt like Paul's gaze had been burning into her whole existence, or so it had felt like.

She ran over to some bushes, hiding there and realizing they didn't see her as they were to focused on speaking about something. She had heard Sam stating how Paul had to do a lot of work to make her like him which had seemed to made Paul shake. As she hid there, stalking the group of men, she soon saw her sister rushing over to them and sighed "Great" Arianna muttered while watching Bella being furious. Soon she saw Bella slapping Paul and as Paul began to shake..which felt weird to her. But then as she saw Paul exploding into a giant grey wolf, she had realized that the old legends were true. She wasn't even afraid, mainly cause she knew vampires excisting, thouh it was...weird to see and know they could shift their shapes into wolves. As Bella ran away, screaming, Arianna rolled her eyes "You're afraid of werewolves, but not vampires?" She muttered and shook her head before seeing Jacob running over, phasing into a huge brown wolf up in the air. Arianna accidentally stepped on a tree branch that was on the ground and felt it snapping in half under her shoe. Apparently the wolves such as Sam, Embry and Jared had heard it as their heads snapped towards the direction where she was hiding. Paul and Jacob however were fighting in their wolf form, accidentally snapping Billy's beloved boat in half. Seeing their faces watching her, Arianna stepped away and ran. Luckily for her, she was a fast runner and she ran into the road before a car stopped next to her and the person rolled down the window "Ari, what are you doing here?" the voice asked and Arianna blinked, turning her gaze over to the car, seeing Quil Ateara there "I..uh..long story, but can you drive me over to Forks? I'll..uh..buy you pizza?" She asked Quil and flashed him a smile. Quil grinned in return and nodded his head "Sure. Hop in. I'm on my way there anyway" He said and Arianna did as she was told to and got in the car. Quil drove her over to Forks "How about you buy me pizza later cause i need to get my mom some medicine from Forks Hospital" Quil suggested which made Arianna to smile "Sure. Sounds good. Drive safely" She said and ruffled his hairs, earning a whine from Quil "Will do" He said and grinned before walking out.

Arianna walked into her room and sat down on the bed, thinking of everything and how now werewolves were real. She wasn't scared as they didn't scare her. But she was confused..confused about Paul and how his gaze had felt like everything in her life had changed...
