The morning slowly dawned. R053 opened his little eye and yawned. He stretched his arms up high and slowly took the covers off of his legs. He rubbed his eyes, as something caught his attention. The pink and shiny heart-shaped gem was of most interest.
He shifted his legs off of the bed and walked toward his nightstand where the heart-shaped gem lie. He stared at the gem, confused as to why it was there in the first place. He picked up the shiny gem and ran his fingers across the smooth surface of it. The gemstone in question, was quite big. It took both of R053's hands to hold it properly. He was thinking of what to do with it until his stomach growled and broke his thoughts.
He took the gem with him into the kitchen where his father was making him breakfast. His father was in the middle of making eggs for R053 when R053 asked him, "Dad? Did you give this to me?". "Yes, I was unsure of what to do with it, so I just left it on your nightstand when I tucked you in." His father replied. R053 felt a little uneasy, the gem was radiating some sort of energy that R053 could sense. It was quite off putting for him, but he figured that his father could probably sense it too.
R053 rubbed the gem and that seemed to calm it down. His father laid a plate of eggs and bacon down for him on the table. He put the gem on the table next to the plate and started eating. "After you finish eating and doing your morning routine-" His father was explaining before he got cut off by R053, "Yeah, I know... testing, right?" R053 questioned as he looked up at his father. "Correct." His father stated as he pet R053's head.
The gem next to the plate emitted that same energy but this time it was stronger. R053 felt worried and set down his fork to pick up the gem. The gem almost immediately soothed as R053 rubbed it again. He felt as though the gem was alive, and that he needed to take care of it. He then asked his father, "Where did you find her?" His father's face struck with confusion. R053 felt the gem radiate a different energy as he kept rubbing it.
His father broke the silence, "I am unable to tell you, R053." The gems energy got stronger as R053 rubbed it. It made R053 feel calmer. He held the gem close to his chest. He finished eating with the gem in his other arm. He got up, gem still in his arm, and walked towards his bedroom to set it down.
He then went to the bathroom, brushed his teeth, and showered. When he got out of the bathroom he found that the gem wasn't in his room anymore but he could still sense it's presence. That made him worry.
He went to go do the tests when he noticed his father with the heart-shaped gem. The gem wasn't radiating the calm energy it once was, it was radiating a new kind of energy; fear. "U-uh dad? I think she's scared of you..." R053 said as he fumbled with his fingers. His father squinted at R053 and questioned, "What are you talking about? Who are you talking about?". R053's heart was beating faster. "Her" He said as he pointed at the heart-shaped gem in his father's hands as the energy from the gem just got stronger.
R053 felt just as scared as the gem now. "D-dad? M-may I please have her back?" R053 stuttered. He felt the diamond in his iris form. "I am sorry but I need to do some tests with 'her'" His father said, putting air quotes on the word 'her'. R053 felt as though he might pass out. The energy emitted from the gem got so strong it made R053 gag. The whole world around him faded as he was shaking.
Everything went dark.
