It's been three days since Chanyeol had shot Kai.

Baekhyun and Sehun had been staying in Chanyeol's house.

Baekhyun, simply because he didn't feel like moving. He could still feel Kai's warm blood on his hands.

Sehun was holding Baekhyun in a tight hug. It always helped Luhan when he hugged him tightly.

Chanyeol had been downing whiskey and calling the hospital every hour.

Kai was recovering slowly. But the good news was that he was getting better.

"Why don't we go see him?" Chanyeol said to break the silence.

"Fine, but I'm driving. You've been drinking all day." Sehun said from beside Baekhyun.

Chanyeol tossed his keys at Sehun and walked outside to the car.

Sehun stood up and pulled Baekhyun up with him.

"I know you're scared, but i won't let him hurt you." Sehun said while walking Baekhyun outside.

At The Hospital
-------------------------
Kai was awake, but drowsy from the pain killers they'd given him.

"Hey guys. Thought you'd never come see me." Kai said as he lightly smiled at the three entering his room.

Baekhyun sat down next to his bed and grabbed his hand, squeezing lightly.

"Shit dude, they've really got you doped up. I hope you heal up soon. It's not the same without you." Sehun said, taking a seat next to Baekhyun.

Chanyeol stayed in the doorway.

He was too guilty over what he'd done to say a single word to Kai.

"I know you feel bad about it. I know why you had that gun. Don't feel guilty, it'll only break our group apart. Thinking about it..." Kai paused before looking to Baekhyun.

"You've changed a bit. You haven't fucked anyone since Baekhyun told you he was pregnant. You have more emotions than you choose to show." He said pointedly.

"You bought that gun to protect him, to protect the baby. Didn't you?" Kai said, looking to Chanyeol for an answer.

Chanyeol shifted on his feet, not making eye contact with anyone.

"I knew Agust D would come after him. It's good bait." He tried lying to himself but something HAD changed.

He had fallen for the idea of a family.
