Acknowledgements, some Darksteel fun facts and announcement for Bonesteel.

Author: * starts crying tears of happiness and sadness *

Adar: Oh, no, not again...

Author: I just can't believe it's OVER! All my precious babies, all grown up! The story is finally done.

Asta: Well, it ended better than Thieves' Game.

Adar: Shut up, no one asked you.

Author: * cries harder *

Yep, like it or not, Darksteel has come to a close and while it might be a little sad, don't say goodbye to the characters just yet--

Adar: Wait, we're not done yet?

Jin: I'm not sure how much more of Adar I can take...

*Adar gets up and chases Jin around the room while Asta, Nico, and Author watch in helpless sorrow*

ANYWAY, while I will not be writing a sequel to Darksteel (at least not for awhile) I DID have another story in mind that centers around Nico.

Nico: I get my own story?

Adar: *smirks* Author, I thought you wanted to write INTERESTING stories.

Asta: Why you...

--The next story, Bonesteel, will be a short story about how Nico first came to Adalain Academy, how she tried to fit it, etc. It WILL be interesting, hopefully, and it will only be a short story. I will write it in Nico's point of view and feature characters like Adar--

Adar: Ha! I knew it! I'm too interesting and handsome to be left out of a sequel!

Asta: It's not a sequel.

Adar: Once again, did I ask for your opinion?

Asta: I'm leaving...

--And other characters...like Blue, Smithy, and maybe Mr.Potter.

Hmmm, let's see, who to thank...

Well, there's me for a start; I did WRITE the book, after all.

Ok, ok, I'm kidding! I obviously wanted to thank everyone who stuck around to read this story. Seeing my story getting reads and votes helped me to keep writing, as cheesy as that sounds. (And it made Adar smile)

Adar: *gives readers a charming smile*

Asta: *Rolls his eyes*

So a big, mushy thank you to all my wonderful readers who joined Asta, Adar, Nico, and myself on this amazing journey. Because, like it or not, writing a story (or reading it) is like a journey in many ways; there are ups and downs, clear paths and bumpy roads, hills and valleys...

Adar: Is there a point to all this or are you just rambling on?

Darksteel is a story of friendship, family, and brotherhood. I wanted to create a bond between my three main characters as well as within the entire Iron Guild. In the end, I was very satisfied with the friendship between Asta and Adar which had taken the entirety of the book to come the point where Adar considered Asta to be nearly a brother. Anyway, I hope you guys will stick around to read Bonesteel, or even to go and read Thieves Game (I'd appreciate that!) And thank you soooo much for reading!

So, I thought that before I end this book, I would share some fun facts about the book that you may not have known. Hopefully without my characters interrupting me!

Adar *winks* I make no promises.

So here we go! (These are totally random, by the way.)

1. Originally, Darksteel was meant to be a lot darker in tone, and humor was going to be relatively nonexistent. Yet, once I wrote the rather amusing prologue, I realized that I would much rather make people laugh with my writing than anything else. And the rest is history...

2. The mermaids were my favorite Monsters to write about. I wanted to take a mythical creature that we are all familiar with and turn it into something terrifying. In truth, they can never leave water, otherwise they shrivel up-- a fact that only Adar knew and never hesitated to taunt them about.

3. Smithy never originally existed. I had not taken much thought into the personalities of the professors. But, I suddenly had the idea for a loud, boistrous character and I loved the idea so much that Smithy entered the story. I'm glad he did. Another thing was that Smithy originally died in chapter 28; Monster fighting and other atrocities, but a near and dear reader of mine said that he was her favorite, so I reconsidered. In the end, I liked this ending a whole lot more.

4. Asta DID actually move that snow so that it hit Miss Bywater in the face. For, while it is rare for a Monster Lord to have elemental powers, its not IMPOSSIBLE.

5. I never gave Kyrin's two friends names...they were just 'Kyrin's two friends'.

6.Adar is my favorite character besides Asta. His dialogue was hilarious to write and he remains my favorite! 

7. The Headmaster does'nt have a real name either...she's just called the Headmster.

8. I wanted to give Jeremiah a soft side, even though he looks really intimidating. So I made him a writer. 

9. At first, Darksteel was suposed to be a sequel for Thieves Game, but once I began planning the plot, it evolved so wildly that it became an entirely different story. So I just replanned and started writing this book.

10. Adar's original name was Amir, but I liked Adar better. 

11. Besides Nico, Asta is the shortest in the Iron Guild.

12. Sometimes, the hardest part of writing this book was making funny parts funny and serious parts serious. At times, I wanted to put in a joke in a serious moment or I made funny scenes darker than I had intended to. It all  worked out ok in the end, though.

So that wraps it up! Thank you all once again for taking the time to read my story and I hope you will be back for Bonesteel, which I will get to posting after a three or four day break (I think I earned it at this point). I hope you enjoyed this last segment where I basically let my characters run free and wild--
