Dear Jade,
Today was terrible. The principal talked to mom and dad about my stupid D in science. Then after a long hour listen to me cheating and failing, we came home and dad starting beating me like crazy! I can't believe that these two monsters had been such good parents.
FLASHBACK
"Hey mom!" Sweet little six year old me says.
"Hey pumpkin! What's up?" Mom asks with a beer in her hand.
"Th-there is something I-I need to tell yy-ou," I stutter.
"What is it?" Mom asks taking a sip. Little me not knowing that this has been her third one tonight.
"I-I was th-the one who got Ja-Jade in the accident," I manage to spit out. Then I quickly burst into tears.
"YOU WHAT?" Mom yells at me. Now I am crying now and mom is full on angry at me.
"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU DID THAT YOU LITTLE MONSTER!!" Mom yells at me. Then she takes her hand and curls it into a fist and punches me in the cheek. Then Dad comes in drunk as usual. Mom always tried to get him to stop drinking, but then she became hooked on it too.
And that's how my life became a living nightmare.
