Connie looked around at the flashing lights and dancing couples packed on the dance floor as Tara talked to Jessie about healthy recipes and Gemma and Evie discussed the birthday party for Kenny, the boy that had ridden the rides with Kylie at Fun Town. She smiled as she sipped her drink and thought to herself that all of these women, though different, had one thing in common. They were all old ladies of someone in the club. Well, except for her of course.

They all treated her as one of the group, never once acting like she didn't belong, although she herself would be the first to tell them that she probably would never be more than an outside friend. She looked up when the waitress set a fresh drink in front of her and Pru. Connie shook her head and handed the drink back.

"I'm sorry, but you must be confused. I didn't order this."

The waitress shook her head and leaned down to speak to Connie and Pru, who sat beside her at the table. "Honey, these are from a couple of men at the bar. If I were you, I wouldn't turn them down."

Gemma turned to look as did Connie and Pru, cursing under her breath. She shook her head as she turned back around to face the table. "Accept the drinks, ladies. If I'm not mistaken, those are two of Laroy's men. We don't want to piss them off"

The waitress nodded. "Yeah, he owns the place."

Connie looked at Pru, who shrugged as if to say she'd follow Connie's lead. Connie sighed and picked up the drink in front of her, setting it back on the waitress's tray. "Thanks, but no thanks. I don't know this Laroy and I certainly don't know his men, and I have no intention of meeting any of them."

Gemma and Tara groaned as the waitress just shrugged and took the drinks back to the bar. Gemma shook her head as she moved to stand. "Well, I admire your bravery sweetheart, but I think it's time we moved to another bar."

None of them saw the man sitting in a corner booth, watching everything carefully, cell phone in hand. As Connie stood up, she felt a hand on her shoulder. Turning, she found one of the men from the bar standing directly behind her, frowning down at her.

"I know you ladies aren't leaving already? The party's just starting." He glanced around the table as another couple of men joined him. "Sit down."

Connie scoffed as she knocked his hand off of her shoulder. "I don't take orders from you. If I'm ready to leave, I will."

Pru stood beside Connie and nodded. "That's right. You all should really learn to take a hint."

The man sneered at Pru as he laid his hand on Connie's arm again. "And you bitches need to learn a little respect."

Connie heard Pru scoff from beside her as she sighed and reached into her bag, pulling a Ruger out and pointing it at the man. His friends immediately backed up, leaving him standing there facing Connie's gun on his own. "I don't know you, so I don't owe you anything, especially respect. Now, you need to back the hell up and let us leave before things get bloody."

She heard guns cocking and turned to see that Pru, Gemma, and Rocky were now pointing guns at the men as well. The man in front of her glared at her as another, taller man came hurrying in their direction, both hands up in front of him.

"Whoa! Ladies, let's keep things friendly, okay? Your men wouldn't like it if you shot up my club over a misunderstanding."

Pru snorted as she turned her gun on the man speaking. "Yeah? Well, I don't have a man to get pissed, so there's that."

Connie nodded in agreement. "The only misunderstanding we have is this asshat thinking that buying a woman a drink guarantees him a fuck." She turned and looked at the man in question. "Let me assure you that it does not. Now, are you going to back the fuck up so that we can leave?"

"Of course, they are."

Connie turned to see Herman standing behind them with what looked like the entire club, and none of them looked happy to be there. A blond man stepped up beside Herman and looked at all the women. "Are you all okay?" When each woman nodded, he turned to face the taller man. "Is there a reason you all wouldn't let our old ladies leave when they wanted to?" He smirked at the man that Connie was still pointing the gun at. "You that hard up for pussy that you force women now?"

The taller man shook his head as he pushed the other man away from the group. "No, he isn't, and let me be the first to apologize for any mixed signals." He glanced at the women with a grin. "If you all could put the hardware away, it would be appreciated."

The Sons chuckled as the ladies put their guns back into their bags and turned toward the door. The blond held out a hand to the other man. "Laroy, always a pleasure. Thanks for the heads up, although I think they had it under control."

Laroy chuckled and nodded. "Jax, I'm glad this bunch belongs to all y'all."

Without another word, the women all preceded the guys out to the parking lot, where they stopped by the cars. Herman shook his head as he gave Connie a look. "We need to have a conversation about you pulling weapons in public places, Con. You can't be doing that shit."

Connie crossed her arms over her chest and stood toe to toe with him as the others looked on. "Really? At the time, we weren't aware that you guys were on the way, so we thought we were on our own. It's my right to protect myself if I feel threatened. I did."

Herman stared down at her for a moment before shaking his head and chuckling. "I'm not going to win this one so we'll follow you all back to Charming. Make sure there isn't any more trouble."
