The empty pizza box sat on the kitchen counter, Z and Charlie sat on the couch in the living room. They had decided to give up video games an hour ago, as Charlie couldn't figure out which button did what quick enough.

It was just past midnight, they were watching a random video on YouTube that neither of them could pay attention to. Between their conversation, and the thoughts running through their minds.

"Where does your family live?" Zendaya asked Charlie after a few minutes of silence, not being able to handle it.

"Just outside of Brooklyn," Charlie told her, turning to her.

"Shit, and you live here by yourself?"

"Yeah, pretty much. I came here to write for the magazine, so if that ever fails, I'm screwed," Charlie lightly laughed, but Zendaya was still surprised that she lived in LA with her family across the country.

"Damn, my family lives like 7 hours away and I always miss them like hell. Do you miss your family a lot?" Zendaya asked, her full attention on Charlie who sat just several inches from her.

Charlie shrugged, "Yeah, I call and text my younger brother a lot. It's not as bad as it was when I first moved here"

"Oh, gotcha. Have you made a lot of friends here, though?"

"Honestly, no," Charlie laughed, trying not to show how hard it was to live in such a big area with almost no one to talk to. "Most of my friends live in New York City, and the time zones are just so fucked, you know?"

Z frowned, "I'm really sorry, Char. That must seriously suck," she watched as Charlie looked down at her hands, messing with the stitches on her sleeves. "You're always welcome to hangout with me, when I'm not busy or whatever," Charlie looked back up, smiling at Zendaya.

"Thank you, Z"

"Of course," she told her, smiling back. "When are you going back to New York?"

"My flight is at 12 am on Thursday. I wanted to get there a little early before Thanksgiving."

"Oh, cool. My family isn't coming until Monday, but I'm gonna have a Friendsgiving this Friday," she took a drink from her water bottle beside her.

"You're gonna host a Friendsgiving and a Thanksgiving?" Charlie asked, thinking that she, personally, would never be able to handle that.

"Yeah, I'm crazy, I know," Z rolled her eyes sarcastically. "I would invite you Friday, but you'll be gone," she frowned at her.

"I'm sorry," Charlie frowned with her. "I would go if I could"

"You should stay in town for it," Zendaya suggested, half joking and half hoping she would.

"You're funny, my Mom would kill me and I already bought plane tickets. I can't refund them," she laughed.

"Ugh, fine," Z laughed with her. She looked at her phone, realizing how late it was. "Shit, it's almost two," she said, rubbing her eyes

"It doesn't even feel like it," Charlie said, picking up her phone as she hadn't been on it all day. She scrolled through the seemingly endless messages Cooper had sent her.
