I decided to skip it to the sports festival cause didn't kno what to write oof

Izukus pov

Today is the sports festival. I've always dreamed of being apart of it but I was quirkless I thought I'd never have a chance. But here I am. I was super excited but also super nervous. We never knew what we would be doing in the sports festival so we trained for anything.

After the first round

I can't believe I beat kacchan and todoroki! They where so far ahead aswell.

Now we have a small break until the next round. I go to chat with uraraka and iida, but todoroki pulls me aside. He had a serious look on his face. "Are you ok todoroki?" I asked. He just stood there.

"Congratulations on winning midoriya." He said in his monotone voice.
"Well thanks todor-"
"Since the first day you've wanted to be my friend, and I'm very grateful for that. But because of that I feel like it will effect us in the other rounds. What if we are going to compete with each other but our friendship will get in the way. So to stop this, I believe we should just be competition with each other until the end of the sports festival" todoroki explained.
"Well err if that's what you want than I'll try my best to beat you todoroki!" I got hyped a little.

At their battle

"NEXT, WE HAVE SHOUTO TODOROKI VERSUS IZUKU MIDORIYA!!!" Present mic yelled. We walked into the fighting area. Todoroki just stared at me with his cold glare. I tried to return the stare but it probably wasn't as threatening or scary as his.

As present mic yelled todoroki sent a blast of ice my way. I used one for all in my finger to stop the ice from hitting me.

No ones pov

The same thing happened for some time. Ice blast after another with them being shattered by midoriyas one for all. Midoriya thought todoroki never had a limit, until he looked at his cheek. His face was freezing up from how much he was using his ice quirk. His arm was the same. At this rate, he'll end up freezing to death. As for midoriya, he's already broken all of his right fingers and next is probably his arm or his left fingers. "If you keep doing this todoroki you'll freeze to death!" Midoriya yelled.
"I'm not using the burning piece of trashes quirk! I will not use my left side!!" He yelled back to Midoriya
"It's not his! It's your quirk todoroki!!" He stopped to shout.

Todoroki stopped he had flashbacks of how he was given that scar. Of his mother. His bastard of a father. Somehow when haveing those flashbacks, it helped todoroki realise it was his power. No one else's.

Suddenly, todoroki burst into flames. When this happened, midoriya fell to his knees holding his arm. Where his mark was. He cried out in pain. It was like the mark was burning midoriyas arm somehow. The teachers ran over to him. Cementoss carried him to recovery girls office.

Todoroki stood there surprised. He didn't understand. Was it his fault? What happened? Was it his mark? Was he something to do with midoriyas mark? Questions flooded his mind. Midnight guided todoroki out of the fighting area to outside of recovery girls office.

15 minutes later, recovery girl let me in her office to check up on me. When I walk in, I see midoriya laying on a bed with his fingers and left arm rapped up with bandages and some bandage on his right arm just below his shoulder. He looked exhausted. "Come on todoroki, midoriya will be fine" recovery girl said. I sat down with her and she checked up on me.

"Try to use your fire side more or you'll end up freezing to death" recovery girl said "you can sit in here for a bit I'm going to talk to the teachers." She walks out the door.

Some minutes later, midoriyas eye lids slowly opened. "Tod....ro....I?" He mumbled. I turned to gave him. "Are you ok midoryia?" I asked worried. "Ye I'm fine. It was just my mark..." he looked at me. "What happened?" I asked.
"Well, my soulmate mark was a fire trapped inside of ice. When you used your fire, it burned up. It was probably something to do with the fact of fire...." he fell back asleep.

Wait..
I rejected my fire for all my life and then when I use it, it affects midoriya?

Am I....

His soulmate?...
