You can't beat him in hand to hand combat have you ever seen ip man well this is him. Nick trained at kunlun and not even Davos and Danny Rand could lay a hand on him. Well not long after Danny left. Nick was in the kunlun library and when he was looking for a book for his studies another fell off the shelf and hit the ground this book was more like a journal and he opened the small black journal and it was directions for him to follow. The odd thing was it was addressed o him. He kept the journals secret to his master even as small sketches depicting the fall of the great kunlun began to fill the notebook everytime he opened it. Apparently an elder known as the ancient one studied at this temple and she later taught many of the greats including Lei Kung the teacher of the temple and Davov's father. Before she was murdered by a rogue group of sorcerers she at a young age imbued part of her soul into this very book. After the fall of kunlun the book and the ancient one began to warn nick that something bad was going to happen that would threaten the very existence of the multiverse. So Nick Wolf is now a man on a mission collecting and recruiting the most brave and powerful of heroes across the multiverse and various dimension to guard and protect everything from this threat.
