I sat quietly at my desk working on my math assignment. With a longing sigh I place my pencil down and look out the window. I see a swallow fly by, I wonder what it would be like to be able to fly where ever you wanted.

"Uh Maddie Ann?" I come back to reality and turn to face the source of the voice. It was a boy in my class, his name is Jason.

"Mmm yes?" He looks extremely nervous but I don't know why.

"Uh- I-I w-wanted t-to tell y-you that I've liked you for quite a long time and if m-maybe you want to go out with me." His face was red, it was really cute, but I don't like him the same way.

"I'm sorry but no, I have someone I love already." Jason's face dropped, I felt bad really. Jason was a sweet guy, he was also really thoughtful.

"I understand." With those few words he turned away and left.

I really am sorry Jason but I made a promise. I looked back out the window in order to get my mind off of things, what I saw was a bit exciting. There was a guy with chocolate brown hair walking down one of the paths leading towards the school. I couldn't see details but he looked like someone important. He stopped walking and looked up. He was looking straight at me, then suddenly he gave a wink. Wait that was... It was really... Jake Star. He's a really famous singer. What is he doing at a school like this?

"Maddie Ann. Do you know the answer?" I look back up to the teacher. I drop my head letting hair fall into my face.

"Sorry I wasn't paying attention." She gives me a slight smile and a sigh.

"I like your honesty Maddie Ann, but please next time pay attention." With her final words the bell gave a shrill ring telling us it was lunch. I shot up out of my seat. I had to go see if it was really him or if I had been seeing things.

I darted past people getting glares as I went but that wasn't much of my concern at the moment. I ran out the doors that lead to the center court yard, I couldn't see him anywhere.

"Maybe I really was just seeing things. Stupid Maddie Ann of course someone like him wouldn't come to this school." I sigh and go and sit on the edge of the fountain, I pull my sack lunch out of my bag and retrieve my pb&j sandwich from inside.I bit down into it but it was extremely bland and I lost my appetite. Letting out a sigh I get up and walk to one of the vending machines and purchase a green tea. I open it as it makes that satisfying hiss. I close my eyes, what if he really was there? What if I wasn't crazy?

"Of course your crazy Maddi Ann." I say and quickly whip around. I collide with a solid object spilling my drink on whatever it was. My eyes fly open and connect with a set of gray eyes.

"I'm so sorry sir, I wasn't paying attention I thought I was out here all alone." I start wiping at the spot with the sleeve of my blazer. He grabs onto my wrist and pulls my hand away from his shirt. I look back up to his face.

"I'm not crazy." I say, he looks at me with a look of bewilderment.

"Why aren't you crazy?" Jake says, his voice soft.

"I saw you earlier, but when I came out here you were gone so I thought maybe I was just seeing things." He gave me a sly grin.

"Since we're alone and I'm real, do you maybe want to explore one another." my eyes widen and I feel my face heat up. I push him away from me, making him release my wrist.

"I'm not like that. Do you think that since your famous I'll give you whatever you want? If so you need to change your way of thinking." I say and flip my hair back and walk away.

He grabs onto my skirt and pulls it up a little, stunned I turn around and smack him acrossed the face with a loud smash. He lets go then stumbles backwards a little holding his cheek.

"Don't ever talk to me again." I say then walk off back to school.

My heart was beating fast and I felt kinda dirty. He just lifted up my skirt and looked underneath it. I blushed at the thought and shook my head to try to get the memory out of my mind.

"Hey Maddie Ann, what's going on?" I look up to see my only friend Rebecca James. Her blonde hair flowed around her and her blue eye were bright.

"Uh nothing." I say. She raises an eyebrow and looks me over.

"What happened." She had more of a serious tone this time. I looked to the ground, cheeks redder than ever.

"There was this guy and he lifted my skirt." I whispered, she let out a gasp and put her hand on my forearm.

"Are you alright? Did he touch you anywhere else?" I swatted her hand.

"No he didn't. I'm fine though, I slapped him then ran away." I pulled my blazer closed, the fall chill was getting to me.

"Do you remember what he looks like?" I nodded, I know exactly who it is.

"I know his name too." I say. Jake Star was the one who pulled on my skirt. I spilled my tea on him but still, it was crazy that he pulled on my skirt because of that.

"Who-" Rebecca stopped talking, her eyes widen in amazement. I turned around to see the one and only Jake Star.

"You." I say with an accusing tone and point my finger at him.

"Happy to see me Princess?" He takes a step towards me, hooking his arm around my waist.

"Umm I'll just leave you to alone. Bye Maddie Ann I'll see you later." With that Rebecca ran off leaving me with the pervert.

"What's your problem let me go." I say and try to struggle out of his grasp but it's useless.

"No use Princess, besides I've been looking for you even before you hit me. Maddie Ann Thompson you have the amazing honor of being my girlfriend. If you have any questions take it up with your parents. Otherwise we have to act lovey dovey in front of other people." I go limp. I have to pretend to be this guys girlfriend?

"No. No. A thousand times no. I refuse. Whatever deal my parents made is off. Just go get a real girlfriend." I say trying to get away again.

"Real girlfriends are a pain and besides because of my family and me you get to continue to coming to this private school. If you didn't know your scholarship was terminated." My face was hot with anger, I stomped down on his foot making him let me go. It didn't really work, he still had ahold of my wrist.

"Why me?" He gave a sigh, he seemed a bit irritated.

"Because it's you just leave it at that. Now come on you get to show me to class." I stomped my foot. I was going to get some answers one was or another.

"How long do I have to pretend to be your girlfriend." Jake grabbed my waist and pulled me forward.

"All of high school my dear. It won't be that bad maybe you'll realize your in love with me. I won't mind spending a night with you but of course after that's over I'll forget your name." This guy was irritating me so much right now.

"I have to be your girlfriend for two years? This is bull snit. I'm leaving, bye bye." I unhook his arm from my waist and walk away.

There is no way in hell I'm dating him. Besides I already love someone, I pull the little golden key from my shirt and admire it's design. One day I'll get to see you again.
