Hoseok spread out the comforter for his mates and they all got on getting comfortable. When he glanced at his side he saw their new friends sitting on the grass cuddling each other. He reached into the bag and handed the closest omega the blanket "We brought extras" he said and Yoongi smiled spreading it out for them to sit on. When he turned back to his own mates he could tell that Jinnie was still mad at him and Jungkook and Taehyung were already cuddling with their legs entangled and their noses pressed against each other.

Hoseok laid out on his back staring up at the blue sky darkening and the first few stars poking through. "Remember when we first started dating and we would just sit on your car and star at the sky for hours?" Hoseok asked Jin who snorted remembering the memory is irritation fading but still gave him enough fire to reply "Remember when you got sick because even though it was raining you still wanted to lay on the car while I sat inside like a normal person and then you cried for a week because of how sick you felt?"

"Yeah but it was worth it because it got you in my bed" he teased the other alpha who laughed "Yeah because you begged me not to leave you alone at night" Jin said rolling his eyes as he laid down beside him waiting for the multiple pack leaders to step forward and start the bonfire. It gave them time to reflect on their decisions and how they interact with their inner self for alphas their inner wolf.

Betas and omegas lost the ability to change, but most alphas still possessed it. They could still feel their inner wolf, but couldn't interact or shift. This leading them to drop to the bottom ranks especially after the war. Most of the packs viewed betas as useless and omegas as breeders. Hoseok's pack was one that was more accepting of the rank differences rather than Namjoon's who still held traditional aspects.

Some things were mostly true of all packs. The members of the packs lived in or near the city (or village in some cases) and kept a tightly knit bond. Where the two newly aquatinted groups differed was here. Hoseok's pack lived a more technologically advanced world and didn't hold too many roots such as the use of cars every day and unlimited electricity. Namjoon didn't, they lived in a small village where there was electricity but cars were not abundant and where they held true to deep-seated roots.

A drum sounded and everyone fell silent looking in the middle of the field where an elderly man stood before the fire. "I see everyone is enjoying themselves," he said chuckling as two small pups ran across the field despite their parent's protests which caused light laughter amongst the various packs. Once the children were seated with their parents he spoke up again. Taehyung tuned most of it out after hearing a similar speech every year he didn't bother to care anymore. He mostly drones on about staying true to ourselves and putting the community first no matter which pack we came from and all of that sentimental jazz.

He focused on Jungkook's tiny beauty mark under his lip instead finding it much more entertaining. He gently poked at it his lips curling into a smile when Jungkook playfully nipped at his finger. When both of them got a flick in the forehead they glared at Jin who pointed at Hoseok who pretended to be very interested in whatever the old man was saying.

Taehyung snickered softly and nuzzled into his younger beta mate. "I love you Jungkook" he whispered into his ear so Hoseok wouldn't hear him. He smiled in satisfaction when he blushed light and pecked his cheek before turning his gaze back to the speaker who was lighting the fire. Several wolves cheered as the smoke billowed into the night sky warding off the mosquitos. Fire bounced inside the young betas eyes as if sparking something inside him as he stared at the fire getting lost in it.

Jin smiled softly leaning on Hoseok's shoulder "Being out here always makes me feel more at home" he said as Hoseok fluffed up his hair. "Why? Our home is cozy" he said softly. "Nobody in our pack likes us," Jin said "and don't lie"

Hoseok sighed softly and didn't reply just held his hand and watched the fire. He glanced over his shoulder at the other group. Namjoon's eyes flickered up to his and they locked eyes for a moment Hoseok not being the first to look away. Jimin's head popped up between the two and the omega stuck his tongue out him. Hoseok just chuckled shook his head softly seeing Namjoon laughing at the brat and pulling him back into his lap.

Hobi turned his attention back to his betas and poked their heads patting his lap. Taehyung smiled and untangled himself from Jungkook crawling up between Hoseok's legs and leaning his head back against him and smiling in contentment. Jungkook slowly moved up feeling lonely and settled between Jin and Hoseok.

"I love you," Hoseok said leaning down and pecking Jungkook's cheek. "Love you too," he said softly leaning against him and pulling Jin over to his other side. They all watched the stars together with the warm crackling fire.
