personality; maddox reminds one of a typical comic relief character, he is sarcastic, loud and is usually seen smiling. he offers a relief of tension to those who surround him. like his sister, he often puts other before himself, he is there for anyone who needs it without expecting anything in return. despite his funny nature, maddox suffers from extreme low self-esteem, this is often seen when he makes self-deprecating jokes, he can't stand to be alone and constantly needs to be surrounded by people and craves attention. due to his previous romantic relationships, maddox tends to become hopeless when people don't reciprocate his feelings because he has never had luck with romance; but unlike the typical "nice guy" stereotype, he doesn't think he deserves relationships and assumes it's something he's doing wrong so he constantly tries to fix himself and change.
