My heels click against the pavement. The cold air sends a chill over my body. The street lights flicker just like those silly horror movies. Someone should really fix that. I pull my coat tighter around my thin body and speed up the pace of my steps.
Suddenly I thud right into something hard. I fall to my knees and clutch my head. A deep raspy voice fills my ears.
"Fuck, Are you okay?"
I quickly jump up to my feet and awkwardly smile at the stranger.
"Uh, I'm fine."
"Why are you in such a rush?" He giggles as he caresses a warm hand on my frozen shoulder.
"I lost my friends at the club. I was trying to get home."
"Alone?" He asks concerned. His deep brown eyes felt strangely comforting.
"Well.... I".
He lays a finger on my lips and shushes me.
"I'll walk you home." He holds his hand out and I hesitantly place my hand in his.
"Your hands are like icicles" he giggles. Tucking my hand in his jacket to warm it up.
I blush and hang my head so he doesn't see how embarrassed I am. Damn he has converse? That makes him even hotter.
"By the way, I'm Sam".
"I'mmmm April". My voice crackled. Dammit. Why is it whenever I meet cute guys my body betrays me?
It's almost like....
"Are you okay? Whatcha thinking about?" He interrupts my thoughts.
"Sorry, I'm just worried about my friends is all."
Liar. I couldn't give a crap about them. My chest erupting in a weird tingling feeling.
What is this?
"Well, here we are." He lets go of me to pull out his phone. He places his phone in my frozen phalanges.
"What... why... what"
Dammit brain. This would be a lot easier if I wasn't off my tits.
"Put your number in silly" he giggles.
My fingers shakily type my phone number into his phone.
"Thanks. Well, goodnight. It was lovely to meet you April." He turns to walk away and I just stand there staring and drooling over him like a twelve year old girl.
Say something APRIL!
"Yes good! Thanks!"
Dammit......
I hear him chuckle as he walks away into the darkness. I face palm hard. Why am I like this?
I run inside my warm apartment. I flop onto my bed. And fade into a deep sleep.
..................CHEEP. CHEEP!
I jump awake to the repulsive sound of a baby bird outside my window.
Shit. I fell asleep.
Every inch of my body sore, I slowly bend down and take off my heels and breathe a sigh of relief. God that feels good.
I lay back down and pick up my phone.
6:45am
* 1 New Message
What? Who messages people at this ungodly hour?
* Hey April. It's Sam. From last night. It's okay if you don't remember me, you were pretty far gone haha. Just checkin up on you.*
Oh my god. That hot guy from last night, with the converse.
I quickly unlock my phone.
A:*Hi Sam, thanks so much for helping me home last night. I was a mess. I'm so sorry.*
Not even ten seconds later.
S:*That's all good. How's your head?*
A:*Its pretty sore haha.*
S:*Did you wanna grab some breakfast?*
A:*I would love to. I'll pay. It's the least I can do for last night.*
S:*I'll pick you up in 10*
A: * Ok*
SHIT.
I throw off my alcohol drenched outfit and throw on my favourite hoodie and jeans.
I pull on my white converse high tops. And I hear a horn. BEEP.
I run outside and there he is. In a skyline? Damn. That's hot.
What's to come?
