Max's POV:

I hate people who can properly function as soon as they wake up. What's it even like to be a morning person? Do you smile as soon as you wake up because you're alive ? Or is there another unknown reason that you're so happy so early? I wouldn't know because I'm not one of those people. And between the king shifts & Noah's nightmares I'm not even an afternoon person.

As I roll out of bed I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror, this is why I'm single.
Well that and a million other reasons, my first big two are named Noah & Mia. Speaking of which, it's really quiet this morning which only means that they're up to no good.

Strolling out of my room I start to notice a trail of crayon on the hall walls & I can hear running water coming from the kitchen. Hurrying towards the open door way I discover exactly why they didn't wake me up this morning, Noah is covered head to toe in marker standing by the cabinet. But I've seen no marker until I look over at Mia. Who is perched on the counter, also covered in a variety of color, smiling innocently as she notices she's been busted. Quickly tossing the marker on the floor hoping I didn't notice and jumping off, screaming "MAMA, you're awake!" Which then provokes Noah to look up, and put his arms out in a grabbing motion saying "'Mama!" As well.

This is definitely nothing surprising. I sleep like a bear after working 80 hours non stop, and they took that as a green light to wreak havoc. I may not have given birth to these babies, but they most certainly act like me.

Giving both a pointed look I say, "Well, Good morning to you too. Mind telling me what this mess is?" Mia just looks down and says lowly "I wanted to be an artist today. And couldn't find any paper."  Noah just babbles something along the lines of an agreement. As if he wasn't used as a human canvas.

Reaching down and sighing, I grab both of them. Turning off the faucet and then making my way towards the bathroom. I put both of them on the stool by the sink and turn on the bath. Turning around, I grab the bubble bath soap, pouring some into the warm water.

Once I noticed the water had filled up enough for them to both sit comfortably, I turn off the water and grab both kids putting them in. They both look up to me with bright smiles, as I put their water toys in so they can play while I clean them up.

The bath was quick, thank god for the invention of washable markers. It would've taken ages other wise. After getting both kids dried and dressed for the day I put on some music and start to clean up this mornings mess & make some quick breakfast for the kids.

"When are we going to the park?" I turn around and see Mia peeking into the kitchen with Noah trailing slowly behind. "Later baby." "When's later?" Mia asked. "When Cameron gets here." Which gets Noah to screech out in excitement, "Cam Cam!" & Mia following with "Aunt Cammie!"

Waiting for their excitement calm down a bit, I tell them to get at the table for some breakfast. Once I'm done chopping their fruit up and putting butter on their toast I pass them their plates.

One they finished their breakfast. I was able to quickly go get ready for the day before Cameron got here. As soon as I came out of the bathroom I heard a very light series of knocks on the front door.

As I opened the door I was met with a very happy Cam. "Good morning Maxie!!" Raising my brow, "What's got you in such a good mood Cam?" Laughing at my insinuation that something was up "I'm just happy to see my favorite group of people in the entire world! Why are you so grumpy?" "Because some of us are running off of hardly any sleep, Ms. Jones."

"Well-" getting cut off by a screaming Noah & Mia, "Cam Cam!!" "Aunt Cammie!!" With Cameron screaming back "My babies!" While crouching down to hug them.

Laughing at their greetings, I use this moment of distraction to grab their coats and shoes along with my keys.

Walking back towards them with items in hand, I can't help but sigh in content at my little family. Quickly noticing the kids starting to look irritated at my snail like speed, I hand Cameron Mia's coat & shoes. I start getting Noah ready to go, then myself. Once we're all set we head out to my car and begin today's journey.
