Betty turned her face to see Jughead's eyes light up at the sight of her. It sent shivers down her hole body, and she began blushing.
- How are you doing?
He asked looking directly into her eyes.
- Well...
She said, before sighing and sitting down. Jughead sat down beside her and took her hand. She then began telling him everything.
- I knocked on Archie's door, and his dad opened. I asked him if I could talk to Archie, and he told me he was upstairs. So I went upstairs to Archie's room and told him that we were over. He didn't take it very well and-
Jughead squeezed her hand, and she continued.
- He grabbed my arm and told me, that he wouldn't let me get away that easy. That he would make you, the both of us, pay, and that if his dad weren't there...
She hesitated.
- He didn't get to say anything else before I slapped him, and then I walked out
Jughead's eyes went big, and he gave her a surprised look.
- I mean I was amazed. At what I had just done, and how he had reacted
She finished before looking at him, awaiting his reaction.
- Wow, that's a lot. I mean I can't believe you did that, that he did that
He then took both of her hands and looked her in the eyes, giving her a reassuring look.
- But I promise you, Betty. He won't do anything to you. Not if I have anything to say. Besides, he isn't some kind of evil genius, he's just a high school boy with some serious relationship issues
He said with a smile, and she smiled back at him.
- Also Jug, I have something to tell you
She said nervously while biting her lip.
- You seem nervous, is everything okay?
- I can't do this anymore
