In the morning with a bright shiny sun, sweet brown birds chirping, and of course, the Kingdom of Nexus woke up for the next busy day. All the thoughtful townspeople loved dearly to garden in gardens, study in notebooks, and always staying safe inside the great stone brick walls of Nexus. But one young child always felt a tad bit different from the townspeople of Nexus. He is usually known as "The Weirdo of Nexus". But of course, everyone has a real name. His name was Steve.     "Why does everyone feel different from me?" asked Steve to his mother in their garden. "Well, it is kind of a long story. You're adopted. A while ago, your father and I were shocked by terrible news. A rich kingdom was invaded! We asked our king to exit the walls of Nexus to look for any survivors. Unfortunately, you were the only survivor. I can remember almost everything that happened! We signed you up for adoption, and we noticed a name tag on your shirt. In nice bold letters said, Steve. So ever since that day, we called you Steve," explained Steve's mother.

"Steve, your brother, Leo is waiting near our house. We will be gone for a little while to get some groceries in the market," exclaimed Steve's father. "Ok, come back soon!" replied Steve as he waved back at his parents. "Hello, Steve! I've been expecting you. Grandpa George gave us these wooden swords to play battle with," said Leo as he handed Steve a wooden sword. Steve pointed his wooded sword at Leo. "Take that, Leo!," said Steve. "You're no match for me!" replied Leo. He fell down. "Would you dare to put your life on the line, Leo?" said Steve. "Fine, you got me again," sighed Leo. "Hey, do you want to go to this cavern next to the Forbidden Forest?" asked Steve. "Steve, the Forbidden Forest is dangerous," replied Leo. "Where's your sense of adventure?" asked Steve. "Fine. But we have to be back before nightfall, or you know, the mobs come out," said Leo. They crossed over the Nexus wall and searched the area for a cave.

"Are you sure you found a cave so interesting that you had to go to the Forbidden Forest?" asked Leo. "Yes. I know it's somewhere around, he-". Steve fell into the cave. He heard some groaning behind him and out came a zombie. He jumped back in fright, and he almost fell into a stream of lava! Steve swung his wooden sword directly at the moaning zombie. "Steve, are you ok?" asked Leo. "Yeah, I guess you were kind of right, but let's go to the place I came here for!" exclaimed Steve. They walked in the dark, eerie cave that had water dripping from the ceiling. Suddenly, a cave with seven torches that formed a C above it caught their eyes. "When I first came here, this wasn't here before. Time for another adventure!" exclaimed Steve. "Don't people say 'don't walk into the light'?" asked Leo. "Ugh. Whatever," replied Steve in an annoyed manner. They saw a girl with orange hair mining a vein of iron inside the cave. "Hello. I'm Steve and this is my little brother, Leo," greeted Steve. "Hi. I wasn't expecting a visitor, but I guess you guys can help me find my cat, Oscar," replied the girl," by the way, I'm Alex."  "What's a cat doing in a cave?" asked Leo. "Well, it is kind of a long story," replied Alex.

"So, I had a feeling to find my first diamond, and I bring my cat with me. I started by mining a hole, and there was this weird trail of fish. My cat started following it as I was minding my own business, even though I don't even know where the fish came from. He ate the first fish and some gravel fell behind him as he continued to follow the trail. It separated me from Oscar, and I started to dig the pile of gravel. But it seemed like this gravel was thicker than I thought. So I started mining iron to make a shovel to get rid of the gravel faster. Hopefully, he didn't get crushed by the tumbling gravel," explained Alex." Okay. I agree to help you find your cat, and figure out who left a trail of fish," agreed Steve. They got rid of the gravel, and they followed a trail of fish bones because of Oscar. "There you are! And you also found diamonds!" cheered Alex. She used her iron pickaxe to mine the diamonds, and they saw the most wonderful thing in their lives. A blue gauntlet glittered above a pile of dirt. "STEVE," said a voice. "I think that gauntlet is calling out my name," Steve said. "I don't hear a thing," replied Leo. Suddenly, the gauntlet appeared onto Steve's hand.

"How... did, what?" asked Leo in confusion. "This is what Merlin was talking about, the prophecy is true! And it called your name. You're the profit!" exclaimed Alex. "Merlin, prophecy, what are you talking about, Alex? Is there something that you aren't telling us?" asked Leo. "Well, my town is in danger. So, I asked my wizard friend, Merlin, to help my town. But he said he can't cast a spell that great and big to save my town, but a boy with an enchanted gauntlet will help bring peace to the town and to the world," replied Alex. "I'm just an ordinary kid who feels different, I don't have a greater purpose in this world. besides, I don't believe in prophecies," replied Steve. "Wait until you meet Merlin, then you'll see," replied Alex. Suddenly, they heard a loud screech. A big purple spider crawled on the ground. "Uh oh," gasped Alex," the Silking Queen," "SEEMS LIKE SOME PEOPLE FELL INTO MY LITTLE TRAP. HOW UNFORTUNATE. BRING ME YOUR BEST FIGHTER," said the Silking Queen. "Steve, you might have to fight her," Leo said. "But all I got is a wooden sword," replied Steve. "And a gauntlet," replied Alex. The spider formed into a position like it was going to pounce on Steve. And that's what the terrible spider did.

Steve quickly dodged the spider, and swiped his wooden sword at it. Then, the spider sprayed poison onto Steve's arm that he was holding his sword in. "Ahh! It burns!" shouted Steve as he dropped his sword. The Spider crushed the weak sword with one of its eight legs. "Stupid wooden sword!" he shouted. But the gauntlet started glowing. It transformed the broken wooden sword into a nice enchanted iron sword. But the spider still guarded it. Alex spotted a pile of sticks and string from the leftover people's inventories. She made a bow and collected two arrows, and she shot the arrows at the spider. The spider got distracted, and went after Alex. That gave Steve the perfect opportunity to grab the sword. He quickly grabbed it. "Hurry! She's about to string me up on a web!" shouted Alex as The Silking Queen got closer. Steve stabbed the sharp enchanted sword right on the spider's back, and she fell dead on the cave surface. "Steve, that was incredible! But we should probably go now. It is probably nightfall," exclaimed Leo.  They headed out of the cave. "Yup. It is night. Alex, since your town is being attacked, you can spend the night at our kingdom," exclaimed Steve. " I'd love too," replied Alex.
