Today was the Day

It had been a few days since I got that text from Jaiden. In the few days that I had I had to go to my work and just tell them I wasn't going to be there. Granted they weren't happy about it but I didn't care, this was going to be the best trip of my life. I then had to try to find my passport. I remembered putting it somewhere but it took me a solid two days to find it in the depths of my closet. Then It came down to packing and figuring out outfits. I am pretty sure that I just packed my whole closet but it was fine because I repeat, this is going to be the best trip of my life.

I was now in my bathroom in leggings and an oversized shirt, putting on a bit of makeup to make myself look more put together. I then heard a ding on my phone.

Jaiden: Ellie are you almost ready? I am headed over to get you we have to catch our flight at 10.

Ellie: I mean pretty much. I should be ready by the time you get here.

I quickly threw my makeup in my travel bag and threw my hair into what I called a messy bun with a purpose (a nice looking messy bun.) I then went back into my room and gave it the once over. I wanted to make sure that I had everything I needed. It seemed like I had everything. I just truly didn't know when I asked Jaiden what I should bring she just gave me a generic list. I felt my phone buzz in my pocket.

Jaiden: I'm here.

I grabbed my luggage and walked outside to Jaiden's car.

We walked into the airport and had done the necessary evils. AKA security, checking in, and all that boring stuff. The time was now 9:34am and we still had time to kill before our flight. We had met up with some of Jaiden's friends from youtube. They were other animation creators. If I am being honest I was only sort of listening to their conversations. I was so excited for the next couple of days that I just drowned out the rest of them. I know that seems bad but I just couldn't help it.

I saw Jaiden looked down at her phone and text someone back. She then spoke to everyone. "He is finally here. Took him long enough." Everyone let out a small laugh. Who were they talking about? Did I miss something? Probably. I saw Jaiden wave over to someone that was walking over towards the terminal. He had dirty blonde hair and a weird purple shirt on with balloons and something else on it. "James, you finally made it" Jaiden told the person that was joining the group.

He greeted everyone in the group and then he looked over to me.

"Hello, I am James. You must be Ellie Jaiden's friend." He said looking at me.

"Yes, that's me." I couldn't help but look at him a little bit longer than normal. I had to admit he was cute, so I had to hold myself back from being the most awkward person ever. But I couldn't help but be awkward because I kept staring at him. I recognized him from somewhere. I didn't watch many animator channels so I didn't know people by their channels more of them by their real name because of Jaiden. However, this boy I felt I knew from somewhere. I then realized that I had been starring way too long and I decided to look away. He was very cute so I took one more quick glance. I noticed he looked back at me and I gave him a quick smile. He smiled and looked away.

I looked over at Jaiden and I noticed her giving me the side eye. Did she just see what happened? Oh God. I mouthed at her 'what?.' She looked over at me and then back over at James, then back at me. I could only imagine what was going through her mind. Jaiden always tried to be a matchmaker when it came to me. So, I really hoped she didn't have anything up her sleeve. He was cute but I just met him, so I can only imagine what the next couple of days would be like.
