Amethyst POV:
Its been so long since Pearl and I actually gotten along. Before Steven was born, we were really good friends. Now since Rose is gone, Pearl pretty much hates me. It's whatever. I got Stevo.
I was sitting on the couch eating a pizza box when Pearl and Garnet walked in. "I don't know, Garnet. We keep running in to corrupted gems more and more often than usual.. We should probably do something about it. It IS our fault anyways-" Garnet cut Pearl off. "The only thing we have to worry about right now is making sure that none of the corrupted gems hurts any of the humans." I sorta just tuned them out.
Pearls ALWAYS with Garnet. Everytime I see one of the two, the other is always there. It's kinda annoying. "Pearl, just chill out! Everything is fiiiine." I say sitting up. Pearl rolls her eyes. "Oh please, what do you know." I snapped. "I don't get it Pearl! Ever since Rose left all you've been is moping around and being angry at me! What did I do?!" Pearl glares at me. "First of all, I don't "mope." I grieve. Second all you do is act like a human child!" She snapped back.
I held back the tears that were about to form. "You mean your way of grieving is hiding yourself in your room all day crying?! We all miss her Pearl!" I let the tears flow out of my eyes. "We used to be so close, P." I say before running into my room
Pearls POV:
As I watch Amethyst run into her room, Garnet kinda just left. I felt really bad. This is how Amethyst has been feeling? Why am I so selfish?! I sit on the couch and close my eyes.
Flashback
"Pearl! I wanna learn how to fuse!" Little Amethyst asked. "Ok. Lemme go get Garnet-" She grabs my arm. "Nooo! I want YOU to teach me!" Amethyst said. I blushed a little and smiled "O-okay!"
We spend several hours trying to get it right but Amethyst couldn't do it. She looked down and sighed in disappointment. "It's okay, Amethyst. We'll get it some day. Do you want a ride on my back?" I said to her trying to make her feel better. She looked up at me and nodded. "Okay! Get on." I say while crouching down. She climbs on and we start running around.
Present
"I guess we were pretty close... oh Amethyst, Im so sorry..." I wiped the tear that was running down my face and got up. I went to the door and knocked. "Amethyst... Can we talk..? Please, I promise I won't get mad at you.. I just want to apologize." I say looking down, ashamed.
The door opened and Amethyst stood there with puffy eyes. I sigh. "Im sorry Amethyst.. I was being selfish. I AM selfish. I pushed you away for myself and I shouldn't have done that. Will you ever forgive me...?" I ask with tears flowing down. Amethyst hugs me and I immediately accept back. "Of course I do. You big nerd.." Amethyst says. She pulls back from our hug and wipes the tears off my face.
I looked at her. I never noticed how beautiful she looks. Her eyes, her hair, everything. Im feeling the same way I did when Rose was here except.. stronger.. "Uhh.. Pearl?" I snap out of it. "S-sorry.." I blushed and looked away. Amethyst laughed. "Dork." She said as she went back into her room. I just stood there and thought for a moment. My face felt so hot. I went inside my room to calm down.
Amethyst POV:
I laid on a pile of trash and stared up. I couldn't get Pearl out of my mind. She looked so amazing. This what Steven meant by the term "caught feelings." Oh jeez...
